I went to Office Depot in Cumming, GA to pick-up a print order. While in the store, I decided to purchase ink for my printer. As I was standing in line, a store employee who I presume was the manager approached me asking if I needed help. I said I was just there for the ink and to pick-up a print order. He asked me if I was a reward member and if I wanted to save 10% on my ink. I said, "Not if it requires me to sign up for a store card or any type of auto-ship services." He said it was just a reward to save 10%.
When I got to the register, the same employee took it upon himself to ring me up. Once again, he asked if I wanted to save 10% on my purchase and once again I said, "No. Not if it requires me to sign up for a store card or any type of auto-ship services." He rang up my purchase and asked for my phone number so that I could get my rewards. I asked AGAIN if I were being signed up for something and he said that it was just a way for me to save 10% every 6 months on ink.
When he entered my phone number, he asked me to sign the screen and accept. Before signing, I scrolled through the terms and agreements and saw a statement saying that my card on file would be charged. I told the employee that I DID NOT want to sign up for anything! He again made a vague statement that it's just saving me 10%. I asked would my card be charged every 6 months for ink and I would have to come in the store to pick it up. At this point, he says, "Oh no! It would ship directly to your house!" I told him to cancel it! I DID NOT WANT TO SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING!!!!
So basically, you're employees will lie to the customers in order to make a sale. I said I would never shop at this store again after having a horrible experience last summer. This just cemented why this is a place no one should shop. Shady...
Read moreThe absolute worst customer service experience tonight. I needed to print a few birthday invitations for my daughter's birthday & went in tonight an hour before closing time to have 12 invites printed. I walk in and the lady standing behind the printing section said with the most dreadful tone "what do you need?... & then said "I'm off the clock, I can't help you. You're going to have to print at self serve station."
I had a pdf, but I could not print at the self serve because it wouldn't print in an invitation size, only full paper size. All I needed was for her to get my pdf, make it the right size & print 12 copies. That's it. She refused several times to help me & said nobody else could and that I needed to go make the order online. I truly couldn't believe someone wouldn't take a few minutes of their day (mind you, the store is open until 6 pm) to help someone print something. I will absolutely never return to this store & will go to UPS or fedex to print because they always happily offer to help print anything on the spot for me. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service!!! Go elsewhere...
Read moreI really donât ever leave reviews, but this experience was so awful I felt compelled to leave a comment. I normally go to the OfficeMax over in Flowery Branch (which is great) but since I was here I stopped in to print 5x7 paintings. I was hoping to feel the different kinds of paper and make sure it was what I wanted. Which was to look and feel like a real painting on some kind of textured paper. Both the print technician and the other worker wouldnât even let me get in line because everything âhas to be online.â They WILL not print anything in store. I still needed my prints so I went online to try and place and order â even though I still wanted to see and touch the actual product â and every time I tired to bring up print services on the Office Depot website I got error pages saying that the page I needed (basic printing services) had been moved. So they wouldnât let me print in the store and online doesnât even work. I headed over to UPS 6 minutes away and am now waiting as they print beautiful paintings, exactly as I hoped. So, donât come...
