Went on Friday night. Busy. The team did a good job at turning over the tables quickly. We sat down and a minute later another couple sat down. Thier waiter was right there. Greeted them. Took thier beverage order. Came back with thier beverage order then took thier dinner order. Then was back with rolls and salad. We waited. And waited. Finally our female server made an appearance. Took our order and we were good. Had salad and rolls. Rolls were awesome drenched in garlic butter. Dalsd was good. Had beets. Don't see that often. Had the eggplant and chicken. Very well done. Breading was good. Fried crispy. Covered in cheeses. There was a spoonful of alfredo sauce between the eggplant and chicken. This added a nice creaminess. Pasta was good. House tomato sauce was very good. They use Mancini tomatoes. How can it not me good? Lol also had the chicken ripenio. Chicken breast stuffed with spinach sausage cheese. Also a good choice. The waitress came back with the check. Never bused the table. As we got to leave, up she stepped between me and the table to get the check. Then walked away. Could have waited 10 seconds for me to walk away. Not a thank you or Offerer to Come back and see us. Nothing. So my take is: good food, simple easy to understand menu. Good value. We did not have the best server. I work in the restaurant business. I get we all have off days. That may have been the case. It is worth a try. Not sure if worth the trip.

So I didn’t even realize there was a Provino’s over here. My favorite restaurant ever, so we had to give this one a try. The atmosphere is the same as Buford. Which is good. We even recognized the cool gentleman at the front who greeted and sat us, from the Buford one. All was well. Salad and rolls are always good. One thing that was super different though: the portion size. My go-to dish is Scampi al Forno. I just kinda looked at it when they sat it down like, uhh, what in the world? Like at least half of the usual portion. I’ve been eating this dish for 20 plus years, so I know - back even from the Scalini’s days in Marietta. Anywho. Here’s where I’ll throw in a disclaimer. Ain’t NOBODY need to be consuming an entire portion of their Scampi in one sitting. I always take most of it home, that’s how much it usually is. So I’m not complaining - I had more than enough. Just making the observation. Really not surprising considering the state of the economy these days. The stuffed shrooms seemed smaller than usual as well. I may be just imagining that part but I swear they used to be bigger. (That’s what she said). Actually the salad bowl was a little light too, now that I’m thinking about it. Service was STELLAR!! I don’t recall the dudes name, but he was absolutely perfect and left us wanting for nothing. Solid experience. 🙌🏽

Provino's Italian Restaurant

I've been a fan of Provino's Italian Restaurant for many years, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots to go for Italian food in Atlanta. The food is always delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

One of my favorite things about Provino's is the salad. The greens are always crisp and fresh, and the dressing is flavorful and not too heavy. The garlic rolls are also a must-have. They're warm and buttery, and they're perfect for dipping in the olive oil and vinegar.

For my main course, I usually get the chicken francese. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the breading is light and crispy. The sauce is rich and creamy, and the lemon adds a nice touch of brightness. I've also had the eggplant and the chicken parmigiana, and both were excellent.

If you're looking for a great Italian meal, I highly recommend Provino's. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a special occasion or a casual night out with friends.

Here are some of the pros and cons of Provino's Italian Restaurant:

Pros:

Delicious food Friendly and attentive service Warm and inviting atmosphere Great value for the price

Cons:

Can be crowded on weekends Some dishes are a bit heavy rolls are addictive

I highly recommend Provino's Italian Restaurant. It's a great place to go for a delicious Italian meal with...
