I was impressed with the waitstaff, so attentive. Beautiful inside but my mom does not like Air conditioning so we sat outside. Introduction was a little confusing. Although full of enthusiasm, I think Dad just need to look at menu. The Pita was very good. Dad wanted to try Mediterranean food? Im not sure I like Hummus. Maybe because I was not too hungry. This restaurant is very good for Vegetarian. My Dad's Hummus with Chicken was good. The Hummus taste light ( which i like) with slight touch of Tahini. I guess I just dont like Tahini? I probably should have tried the Kale Chickpea Salad. Waitress recommend the Variety Plate for 18 dollars. It sound good Eggplant ( Babaganoush), Beets,Carrot, & hummus?? & Strained yogurt Cheese. It sound so healthy but I was just not in mood for Eggplant today. My Dad's Hummus Chicken had little Chicken in it. Although very delicious Chicken, I kind of wish they put more Chicken in it. Since I was not hungry i tried the Muhammara? It is a Walnut, Crushed into a paste with Pomegranate. It sounds real good but Im not sure I like it. It came with Pita Chips. It would be a little better if the Pita Chips were lighter. They were almost hard like? The Pita Dad got were delicious but the Pita Chips were more hearty. I just dont think the Chips were good. If they had a thinner Pita ( for chips)...it would be better. Eating Pita chips should have a light crispy texture. If they used thin Pita for the chips it would have been good? Another table ordered Drinks which looked delicious, but since my Mom has digestion issues and has a tendency to drink cold drinks & then get sick we only ordered Hot Mint Tea. The Mint was very good. I have a feeling the meat ( or skewers) are very good ( maybe next time if Im hungry). I should try the Shakshuka or Eggs with either Turkey Sausage ( but I think they were out of regular Shakshuka) so we would have gotten the Kale, Spinach one. Like I said, this place seems really good for Vegetarians. They just need to make the Pita Chips lighter ( like chips) then they would sell the Fattoush salad like crazy. I dont remember seeing any lettuce on menu ( Dad ordered Cucumber,Tomato salad). If this place had a lettuce Crispy Salad with light PIta Chips ( Fattoush) then the combo of a Crispy Lettuce type salad with the Crispy chips would be...
Read moreRegular customer at Palo Alto and Mountain view locations and today I chose the Cupertino location . terrible mistake!!!! My friend and I were greeted by the host at the front desk and we were seated outside since my beloved dog was with me. The nightmare began when the server showed up. I had three orders, one of them was for taking out. so I pointed out my three orders at the menu to make it clear for the server , so easy peasy , the server asked me three times , and I kept repeating my orders , suddenly he yelled at me , “ stop , let me write it down” , my friend and I were shocked with his rude manner and we only looked at each other and I repeated my orders again . three simple orders which were on the menu with no customizing or sth else. he left a bitter taste in my mouth. This is the first time in my whole life that I have been treated like this at a restaurant. He occasionally came to our table and only asked my friend if she needed something and completely ignored me.at that moment, I ONLY wanted to finish my food and leave the restaurant as soon as possible. I will never ever come back to this location even though the food is good but nobody deserves to be treated like this. Our visit at this location was around 1...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I have been to their Mountain view location as well the Cupertino location. I personally prefer the Cupertino location because of the ambience and the availability of parking. The Cupertino location is really spacious with high ceilings and really nice lighting. The hummus here is something I really recommend especially the Jaffa style with pine nuts and parsley, as well the beet hummus and the roasted eggplant hummus option as well. The pita is very soft and fluffy. I really loved the labne( whipped yoghurt) which is slightly sweet and tangy. They have a house green sauce and red chili sauce which I will really recommend everyone to try out. They are spicy and tangy and really delicious. The falafels were really tasty, crispy and well seasoned. The spicy tahini sauce accompaniment complements the dish as well. In the past I have also tried the Bourejas which is like a stuffed phyllo pastry with mushroom or potato stuffing. The pastry was really flaky and the stuffy was delicious. I also recommend people to try out the Pita Sabich sandwich. I really like eggs and so I enjoyed...
