A Culinary Adventure at Pacific Catch, Cupertino.
Hey there, fellow gourmands and wine lovers from all over the world ! Let's talk about a recent epicurean journey of mine to the heart of Cupertino. Picture this: a restaurant that seamlessly marries the flavors of the ocean with a vibrant and friendly atmosphere – welcome to Pacific Catch!
From the moment you set foot in Pacific Catch, you know you're in for something special. The environment, for starters, has this welcoming, casual vibe that makes you instantly feel at home. Think laid-back Californian style, with a touch of Pacific rim chic. And with the cool Cupertino breeze wafting in, it's just like a mini beach holiday, minus the sand in your shoes.
But, while the environment sets the mood, it's the gastronomy that takes center stage. The Pacific Catch menu is a testament to the culinary delights of the ocean, and let me tell you, it's as enticing as it sounds. From fresh sushi rolls to hearty fish tacos, every dish is a celebration of seafood, crafted with innovation and respect for the ingredients.
Now, I consider myself quite the seafood connoisseur, and I've had my fair share of fish tacos, but the ones at Pacific Catch? They're on a whole new level. We're talking crispy battered fish, nestled in soft tortillas, and topped with a tangy slaw that just brings the whole thing to life. And the best part? It pairs perfectly with a glass of crisp white wine – talk about a match made in culinary heaven!
Speaking of wine, let's not forget about their exceptional wine list. They've got a well-curated selection that complements their menu, with options from around the globe. From zippy Sauvignon Blancs that cut through the richness of the seafood, to fuller-bodied Chardonnays that hold their own against spicier dishes, it's clear that the folks at Pacific Catch know their wine.
And then there's the service. It's one thing to serve great food, but to serve it with genuine warmth and attention to detail? That's what sets Pacific Catch apart. The staff goes out of their way to ensure you have the best dining experience. Whether it's recommending dishes based on your preferences or helping you pick the perfect wine to go with your meal, you can tell they genuinely care about their patrons.
In a nutshell, Pacific Catch, Cupertino is the sort of place that makes you fall in love with dining out all over again (we love this restaurant). It's not just about the delicious seafood or the impressive wine list. It's about the joy of discovering new flavors, the pleasure of sharing a meal with loved ones, and the excitement of being part of a vibrant, welcoming community. And as a wine and gourmet expert, I couldn't ask for anything more.
For this occasion, we paring our main courses with Z. Alexander Brown Uncaged Sauvignon Blanc 2020.
On the nose, this wine presents an invigorating bouquet of zesty lemon and grapefruit, punctuated by exotic hints of pineapple and passionfruit. A subtle grassy note adds depth to the aroma profile, creating an enticing blend.
The palate echoes the complexity of the nose, offering a harmonic dance between lively citrus flavors and tropical fruit undertones. A dash of minerality provides a captivating edge to the fruit-forward profile, balancing the wine's character perfectly.
With a crisp, refreshing finish, the wine leaves a lingering taste of its distinct fruit and mineral notes. It's a bottle that blends easy-drinking charm with a depth that keeps you reaching for one more sip.
So, fellow foodies, next time you're in the mood for a culinary adventure, you know where to go. And who knows, you might just find me there, sipping on a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and tucking into a fish taco. Until then, bon appétit!

Read moreWe decided to eat Father's Day dinner here at the Pacific Catch. This was our 2nd time to visit this Pacific Catch location. I must say, I was disappointed on this visit.
First, our waiter "Mark" may have been overwhelmed. I noticed he was handling several tables in the restaurant. The restaurant was not really that busy. Mark took our order. My daughter ordered the "Wagyu and I was eager to taste the "Norwegian Salmon Burger." I usually cook my own Norwegian Salmon from Trader Joe's "LOL." I even asked Mark if the salmon burger was dry. He said no.
Our order came and they brought two (2) Wagyu Burgers (No Salmon Burger). I told the lady that I had ordered the Salmon Burger. After a few back & forth's withe the lady, she finally brought me my dry and plain Salmon Burger. No tartar sauce or ketchup for the fries (my daughters plate). Mark (waiter) kept temding to every other table but ours.
I finally decided to go the serving counter and ask for Ketchup and a side of Tartar sauce. I must say, I tried my Daughters Wagyu burger and it was delicious, I should have just ordered it.
After sitting and eating for about 30 minutes, Mark finally stopped by to check on us. I told him (nicely) that we hadn't seen him, so I had to get some Ketchup and tartar sauce.
There was a young couple who sat next to us, after we sat down (Mark's table). They got tired of waiting for someone to take their order, so they got up and left.
I didn't raise a stink because it was Father's Day and I didn't want Mark or any of the staff to feel bad on this special day. I figured I leave a detailed review of our experience at...
Read moreWhat is it with the South Bay having such terrible parking but amazing plazas with restaurants? This PC has a great location and has great seafood much like the other locations. I go to the Bascom one often so I was annoyed when the waitress never brought me and my friend edamame for the table after coming by 3 different times asking if we wanted, drinks, then appetizers, and if had questions about the menu. Everyone around us had got edamame and perhaps a better waiter. We finally got some but I had to ask(I never had to ask at Bascom) and it’s brought once I’m seated. If I rated my experience plus the waitress I would give 3 stars because of how many times she checked on us without letting us enjoy our food and how she didn’t bring any edamame once we were seated and on time with reservations.
But back to the food: we ordered the family style grilled Hawaiian fish plus salmon asian chimichurri style with the crab mashed potatoes and delicious Brussel Sprouts. They charge $1 for the mashed potatoes I believe and it doesn’t taste like crab or have sufficient crab, but who doesn’t love mashed potatoes? I always get it regardless lol. They have some of the best tasting Brussel Sprouts I’ve ever had. And omg the best cocktails too! This was a great choice coming for national tequila day. I had the jalepiña and blood orange margarita w sugar rims. They were packed with flavor! Highly satisfied with those amazing drinks....
