To start off I have been a loyal club customer for 10 years +. This is my second year dealing with their optical and I have had the worst experience ever. Doris the optical manager has resolved nothing for me. I ordered my child’s glasses 3 weeks ago (I was told 7-10 days max). We are finishing the third week and nothing. I call to find out and Doris ignores my calls ( they have caller ID). She has been giving me the run around for days. Very disorganized with her staff. 5 days after initially dropping off the lenses she tells me the optical LOST my prescription. That delayed the whole process. Then a few days later she tells me to come in with my child to try on another pair just in case the original “breaks”. Mark her words two days later I get a call that the original lenses broke and again delayed the process.when I ask to speak to a Manager she tells me he is unavailable to speak to customers I have to deal with her. I have gone 4 times this week to see what’s going on and she is still giving me the run around.. promising me they will be ready by Tuesday and it’s not Wednesday and no glasses.. overall I’ve had a horrible experience with the optical. They definitely need to change staff specially Doris. She is not straight forward and straight up RUDE.. I will be escalating this situation. After going in this morning I was told Sean the GM will be in after 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:35 and no one can find him I waited 30 minutes and nothing.. their answer was “ we can’t find him”. Really?!! More run arounds. I just drove 40 min to speak to him and mysteriously no one can find him now.. I normally don’t write reviews but this has been by far the worst experience. BJs OPTICAL SUCKS! Go somewhere else. Save yourself a headache it’s not worth it. Their employees have no idea how to treat their customers and they lie about their turn around time. Read moreI’ve been a customer at this BJ’s for years. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years their customer service has become non-existent. For example, If you go to fill up your propane tanks the employee is hostile, angry and makes you wait forever while he complains that he’s shorthanded and doesn’t care if you complain. If you place an order for pick up via drive up no one ever brings out your order. If you go inside to pick up the order the clerk is overwhelmed handling the entire department by himself on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. When you ask for management the front end supervisor show up to apologize, but do nothing and the problem persists endlessly! If you call customer service people are rude and either say they will transfer you and never do or will leave you on hold until the call drops. Employees pretend to care by giving you their cellphone numbers when “solving” an issue, but when you try to contact them later on, they leave you waiting for a reply. Customer service representatives can’t read an item description from an online order receipt and actually find the item in store. It takes a ton of careless, rude individuals to solve 1 SIMPLE issue. I told him I didn't know the process if you had to pay first or you pay after you fill the tanks... I said of course my intention is to pay why would I not pay??
