Denny's — Restaurant in Cutler Bay

I visited this denny on mothers day with my bestfriend. Honestly its been probaly 4 years since i sat and ate in there. The staff is very warm and welcoming. However my revisit of this location was preety traumatizing. My waitress was very sweet kind and accmodating. I cant remember her name but she had preety red hair and and really nice smile. As I fumbled through what to order my waitress was very helpful and was not rude about my undecisiveness. I wanted to make sure I ordered a cost efficient meal ( In budgeting for later plans )and she recommended the sampler. I had boneless wings chicken tenders and fries. However as im munching thorough I get to my chicken tenders i notice that i felt jiggly coldness in my mouth. I was biting into a raw tender. Honestly working in the bar and food service industry in my past I wasnt extrely mortified as I should have been. I called my waitress who was extremely apologetic and with haste attempted to remedy the situation immediately rushed to her manager to notify him of the situation . Now heres where my fustration chimed in.... My waitress rushes back and deeply apologizes informing me that her manager said she can only give 15% off of the meal. I told her that is unacceptable his response was that because i ate majority or the meal ( in which i didnt) She went back to him and he said he can only take off out 2 drinks and my friends daughters small order of pigs in a blanket. My anger was that the manager sent the waitress to haggle with a price reduction when i would have been fine with a new order of the tenders or even a 3 voucher. Better yet for the situation to be acknowledged by the manger themself than to send a waitress to again offer of a demening discount. Honestly just a quick acknowledgment by mangement would have been great. I felt the place was not super busy as mothers day usually and common customer service is to adress the situation with a small adequate remedy should have suffice.I learned my lesson and honestly would not go back. Another down fall was the extremely messy bathrooms. I know its difficult to upkeep but no toilet paper. Urine everywhere and no soap is really a let down. I hadn't been to this location since I was a little kid. I was in the area on weekend (early morning, before 11am) and stopped for a quick bite. There was no wait, even though it was a busy day. Most of the tables were nearly occupied. I was greeted by Kijuan who was very nice and moved very quickly to get me and my party seated. He took our order and also served us quickly. I was impressed. I had the T- bone streak and eggs and the mango lemonade which were both delicious and cooked as ordered. Kijuan was very attentive and kept checking on our party to make sure we were satisfied. The best part of the experience was the waiter. The staff really works hard to keep up with the pace of everything. There's not much space to move throughout the location when it's busy so it can be a bit stuffy. Ppl crowd the entrance and the check out counter (this has ALWAYS been the case). That day, I was looking for a quick in and out experience and the atmosphere works for that. You may feel a tad differently if you are looking to take your time. This location gets very busy and doesn't pair with a take your time kind of atmosphere, in my opinion. It's doable but not ideal. Lots of noise. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would choose a 0. As soon as you open the door to the restaurant it has an extremely unpleasant odor as eell as the rest of the restaurant. The tables and floor are dirty and the walls connected to the round booths are full of grease and dust. An inspector needs to come and make an inspection, lord knows what the kitchen is maintained manager was unprofessional, and the waitress was horrible! She never passed by to ask if my table needed something nor check on refills or napkins never even looked our way to see if we needed anything. I had to keep asking other waitresses for help, our food came cold and the fish was dry and cold. Worse part was that the restaurant had our table, which was a party of two and three oth er tables with two to four peoplein them. The restaurant was not busy at all. The kids they hire, you can tell they don't want to work, they have dirty and/or messy appearance smell like weed. There was a server with two piercing on his upper lip that fake vampire fangs came out his mouth, extremely unprofessional. Onky good thing about the place is the remodeling done to it. Corporate needs to come in and do an unannounced inspection as if they were regular customers. Never coming...
