Review for McDonald's on Old Cutler Road
Every time I visit this location, I specifically order my food without ketchup and mustard due to a serious allergy, yet my sandwich still comes with both condiments. This is not just an inconvenience — it's a health risk. Whether it's a lack of attention, poor training, or just carelessness, it's unacceptable.
If your staff can't follow simple instructions — especially when they concern someone’s health — then serious retraining or replacement is necessary. This isn’t about preference; this is about safety and responsibility. Throwing a pre-made sandwich at me that doesn’t match my order is not only lazy, it’s dangerous. If you're preparing food in advance and disregarding customer modifications, you're not doing your job properly.
If I wanted to, this could easily turn into a legal issue — and it’s surprising that such a basic and avoidable mistake keeps happening. If someone says they’re allergic to something, take it seriously. Either make the food correctly or find a different job that doesn't involve public safety and health. I need to make this very clear: Someone at this location could seriously harm or even kill someone — including a child — because of their laziness and failure to follow basic food instructions. I’ve repeatedly ordered my sandwich without ketchup and mustard due to a food allergy, and yet it continues to be made incorrectly. I will call the health inspector to investigate this location and I'm calling my lawyer and McDonald's...
Read moreWalked in and stood there looking at the menu selections. About 3 to 4 minutes later I realized there was no cashier to greet me and/or take my order. No..."Hi welcome to McDonald's can I take your order?" An employee came out from the back and was kind enough to walk me through the giant touch screen behind me where you're supposed to place your order. Taking the "Human Element" out of the equation, so to speak, is frankly a HORRIBLE MISTAKE on the part of McDonald's Corp. With minimum wages now approaching $15-16/hr this is evidently McDonald's way of not having to hire as many employees as before especially cashiers. Is a multi-billion dollar company like McDonald's that "hard-up" that they can't afford cashiers? Automation is good in many fields but there is nothing like a "welcome smile" to greet you as you're walking in. I felt very much out of place and somewhat disregarded and to a certain extent dismissed. I remember taking my children many times to McDonald's for a happy meal, and on many occasions I would drop by just to buy the toy for that week. Needless to say, I will never bring my grandson or granddaughter to a place that has literally lost their humanity. McDonald's has forgotten the millions upon millions of "Baby Boomers", like myself, who helped make it the #1 quick service restaurant in the world today. For me they're more like #3 or #4...behind Burger King, Wendy's, and...
Read moreMy son did a summer soccer program sponsored by Mc Donald's. He wore a uniform full of Mc Donald's colors and insignia. He looked like a happy meal basically. In any case he was given a gift card to use at the store for his hard work. We are down to about $2 and change. We went to the store and the cashier could not figure out how to use it so called the manager. She came to try to help and advised that it would not ring up when she swiped. I used to work at a movie theater when I was younger and noticed they were using the same type of POS (Point of Sale) computer. I advised she should try to enter the card info manually. She replied that there was no way to do that. I responded then why is there a number and code printed on the card. She told me that I had to contact the number on the card to figure it out. I noted that she was getting paid to stand there and watch me do her job. She did not provide me with any further help in the situation other than swiping a card on her POS. I know this is such a basic issue as far as not being able to use $2 and change for a transaction, but what has happened to customer service since I was working it in the 90s? It's like they don't even try any more and I have to do all the...
