I want to start by saying they have AMAZING customer service, all around very friendly staff, and the shop itself is really cool. The coffee is absolutely terrible. I ordered an iced latte, it was very dark in color which isn’t very typical for that type of drink, after I tried it I realized it had a ton of cream in it. I had made a comment that I thought it was made with cream going off of the off taste and my husband said he saw it was made with cream which was the problem (lattes are made with milk unless specified). I tried to drink it, but I honestly just couldn't so I had to toss it and ended up going to Starbucks. I love small coffee shops like this so I was very hopeful but I won’t be going back. I think they have live music and yoga there? I'm hoping that works out for them because the coffee needs a LOT of work. Adding to this since I can't respond to the below reply. Whether your oat lattes are a #1 seller or not, I was just leaving a review with my opinion, and I did not think they were very good. As for your comment on seeing this exact review "multiple times", I'm sure by "multiple times" you mean the one other review from Yelp that is not exact as I reworded it some, but that yelp account is my account. And yes, under a different name. I left this review on more than one platform since not everyone uses Yelp for reviews. I did however add some random numbers to the end of that review on Yelp (998877) to verify that in fact it's from the...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed being here. I called ahead and asked if they had WiFi. I'm a college student and I needed to do some work for school. When I show up the cafe seems very unwelcoming and there is no one there. There was one girl working and when I walked she was no where to be seen. She showed up after I waited a while, and she was very dry and I felt very unwelcome in the cafe. After I spent $5 on a latte she informed me the WiFi was member only. Nowhere in the year 2020 has member only WiFi, especially during a pandemic. Having a pay wall for WiFi in a town of college and high school students that need to do work is a selfish scam. The coffee was terrible. It was extremely bitter and had dregs in it. I left and threw away the coffee. You're better off going to Starbucks. That's $5 I wish I could have back. I understand supporting local business, but I will not a business that provides poor quality goods and scams customers out of money for WiFi. Never...
Read moreI booked Canopy + The Roots at the suggestion of a caterer for a post wedding brunch for my daughter and son-in-law. I live in another state so was not familiar with Dahlonega. Brandon was great to work with. He explained the optional locations available and was timely on sending me the contact. The space rental was very reasonable. On the day of the event, the space was set up as agreed. I brought wooden tokens so guests could order coffee drinks and I would settle the bill at the end. Patrick was our barista. He was knowledgeable and made one mean autumn spice latte! In the end, the event went without a hitch. The guests were able to get one last hug from the bride and groom before they left for their honeymoon. I would highly recommend Canopy + The Roots as a venue for your next event. I will definitely be back for a latte the next time I am in...
