Cuates Kitchen is a new restaurant that is quickly making a name for itself in the culinary scene, and it's easy to see why. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The interior decor is still in the process of being developed, but the simple and rustic feel of the restaurant added to its charm.

The standout feature of Cuates Kitchen, however, was undoubtedly the food. The cochinita pibil tacos were a particular highlight - they were bursting with flavor, and the meat was perfectly cooked. The homemade tortillas added an extra dimension of flavor and texture to the dish, and the fresh toppings provided the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the ceviche, which was fresh and zesty with just the right amount of acidity. The dish was a perfect complement to the tacos and left me feeling satisfied and refreshed.

To top off the meal, Cuates Kitchen is a BYOB restaurant, which was an added bonus for me. It allowed me to bring my favorite beverage to pair with my meal and made for a truly personalized dining experience.

Overall, I had an excellent experience at Cuates Kitchen. The food was outstanding, and the BYOB policy added an extra element of fun to the meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable...

A hidden gem right off oak lawn and maple!

There is indoor and patio seating. For it being August, we were hesitant to sit outside but the fans made for a PERFRCT patio evening.

We were immediately greeted with ice waters and our server was super attentive.

App: chips and guacamole. The chips were hot, fresh, and crispy. The guac was a classic taste and perfect start to our meal.

Drink: there is a good cocktail menu, beer menu and wine menu. Star cocktails were not super sweet, which I appreciated. Just enough to hit the spot.

Meals: -mix and match tacos and enchiladas verdes. We thought the tacos were going to be street taco size but were pleasantly surprised when they came out. The carnitas and barbacoas were a classic. The cochinitas was my favorite! If you like a hit of spice, this is perfect. The enchiladas verdes was also delicious- the sides of black beans and rice were different in a sense they they felt lighter compared to other restaurants which I liked.

All in all for the price we paid and the quality of the food, it was a great experience! Will be back again, FOR SURE.

Each day of the week they have daily specials as far as food and drink combos, drink carafes and bottled wines, so be on the look...

Favorite meal of recent weeks. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in Dallas. Had this place starred for a little bit and so glad we finally came. Cute place, they did a really great job inside the restaurant. Nice patio space out front but wasn’t great weather for it so that wasn’t open when we went. The drinks were great and the food was excellent. Only thing that sat heavy were the churros (guessing they weren’t homemade), they were fine but probably wouldn’t get them again. Everything else was spectacular. Loved the carajillo and blood orange margarita. The enmoladas were so good, they let us try the mole first (homemade) and we were sold. Did the mix and match plate of 3 tacos ($14.50) - cochinita pibil was the standout, shrimp taco was next favorite then barbacoa costra taco (enjoyed them all). Great handmade tortillas. Great guac. Staff was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back. Highly recommend. They had a parking lot around the corner (with signs) which was nice to have, because there wasn’t much there for...

I was already grouchy, as one of my biggest pet peeves in the restaurant industry is the bait-and-switch brunch menu being placed in front of you at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Listen people, we want LUNCH. Ok - with that out of the way, there were a limited number of items on the brunch menu that were suitable for lunch. Second pet peeve - slapping a can of soda down on the table in front of me, then charging $2 for it. Ok, fine. I get it. So, combined with rather awkward service, I wasn’t in a great mood the first 15 minutes of my time there. Until the food came. And it was so ridiculously good, my bad mood disappeared. I had a Huarache with barbacoa, and it was really one of the best Mexican plates I’ve had in Dallas. Service got a bit better by the end of the meal as well. So, irritants aside, I really enjoyed my meal here, and will be back. For lunch - at lunchtime - with no eggs. ;)
