I normally don’t leave detailed reviews but, I don’t even know where to start. Two days ago, I ordered from here…. I ordered a caldo de res and my friend ordered some plate with rice and beans. First off, when we received the order, it was spilling out of the sides. Could have been the delivery person so I was cool with it. We opened one of the boxes and tasted the rice and beans… they tasted old like they hadn’t changed them out for days. But that’s nothing compared to what I got…. As I was half way through my soup, I see something stuck to my meat. It was none other than a BANDAID WITH BLOOD on it. I’m not a squeamish person but this time I about lost it. Because my BABY was also eating from this soup. (What you can’t see In this picture is that it’s like a bandage material with a slightly plastic backing) Anyways, I called them to let them know (since I assume the caldo is from a large batch) I didn’t want anyone else to possibly get sick or something. I asked them if they knew English because they answered with ‘buenas’ (im more comfortable with English but I know fluent Spanish) They said yes so, I proceed to tell them what happened and then said they didn’t know English..? so I say it in Spanish and they put me on hold. Waited for a bit, then the manager gets on and hangs up. Then I call and call no one answers. Then I try again a little later and they answer. This time it’s someone new and I tell them what happened. They say they’d call me back and I’ve yet to get a call back. Never again. I have a friend you has gotten hepatitis from a similar experience. Mistakes happen but at least have better costumer service especially for something so disgusting and dangerous.

Update: We passed by again and probably had one of the best meals ever. Waiters are the nicest as always. The agua preparada was perfectly made and super refreshing. Tried the Jamaica margarita and was amazed by the presentation ! It was so pretty. And whatever tequila they used was very smooth. Tried the mole enchiladas and you can tell someone is taking the time to make the sauce. Chicken was juicy and not dry like some other places. My bf ordered the queso fundido and said even the peppers were cooked great. I’m obsessed. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had recently. - Great service! Great flavor ! everything We’ve ordered had been great. Table salsa is spicy but yummy. Not pictured if the bandito plate and bistek ranchero but we’re delicious as well. Huevos rancheros were yummy and queso enchiladas was amazing. The chicken is delicious and the queso fresco is Great on top. Jamaica and horchata both taste very fresh as well. Very clean and well put together. Giving Gonzalez a run for their money.

Stop by today after a rainy day while in Dallas. The place has a modern look to it, somewhat small but comfortable. My family of 5 order food in which the waiter had a sense of humor and good attitude. I order the sopes in which I was craving for some good ones. I tell you I try beef, steak and chorizo I wasn't disappointed. Wife order gorditas good portion size and delicious, both of these plate accompany with rice and beans good portion size. Kids split a torta along with rice and beans. The orchata was on point. As far as price I can't complaint because anywhere we go typically is between $50 to 60 for a family of 5. The server could've been more attentive but can't blame him it appears he was the only one on shift. Overall bottom line I will most definitely going back and recommend it.

A quant and relaxing place to stop with good food and personable service!

My wife and I stopped in to this location after it was recommended to us by a friend. We walked in on a late Tuesday afternoon to an empty restaurant. We were a little early for the dinner rush, but having no other customers made us worry a little... We were however promptly greeted and seated and were looking through the menu and chatting with our waitress in no time. They did not serve sweet tea, and they did not have Dr. Pepper (the two main staples of a Texan’s beverage choice) but we picked something else and went on. We were given two types of salsa, one was pretty spicy and the other was a medium heat but both were good, good flavor and texture.

Our food arrived quickly and the portions were ample. Which is good because their prices were a little on the high side. The quality of the food however was superb. Not your usual Tex-Mex spicy but a nicely seasoned and flavored meal that felt hearty and was delicious.

While we dined, other patrons arrive and the place soon became a lot fuller. Everyone that entered was greeted, seated, and had their food served relatively quickly. The overall environment was nice, even after the place started filling up.

Overall, a good experience - good food, a decent selection of menu items, fast service, and prices that were a little high but not outrageous for what we received. We will definitely make it a point to...

I came here with a small group of friends and have mixed feelings about our experience. The food itself was really good—I ordered the green chicken enchiladas, and they were flavorful and had great taste. However, they were pretty light on the chicken—mostly tortilla with very little filling, which was disappointing.

The biggest downside was the service. When we walked in, no one greeted us or told us where to sit, so we seated ourselves at an empty table. Even after sitting, we had to flag down a server just to get waters. Throughout the meal, the service continued to be slow, and we had to flag the server down again just to get the check.

To top it off, when we went up to pay, we noticed the system asked us to leave a tip, which we were about to do—until I asked for a receipt and saw that a 20% gratuity had already been added to each of our checks. There were only four of us, so it was surprising and disappointing that it wasn’t mentioned beforehand. It felt a little sneaky, especially considering the service we received didn’t match the automatic tip being charged.

Overall, the food was enjoyable but the experience left a lot to be desired. I might come back for takeout, but definitely not for dine-in...
