McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Dallas

Some times in my omnivorous life, I find myself craving a certain thing that I cannot place my finger on. I will know it when I see it. This was my dilemma while at McAlister's Deli. Having never been here, I took my time perusing the menu much to the chagrin of the young woman behind the counter. Finally I settled on the Veggie Spud and took my order number placard from the masked cashier. In no time, a server brought my lunch on a metal tray. It's on a tray because it is so big it would not fit on a standard dinner plate. Seriously, this thing is a monstrosity. It's a Russet potato served quartered with broccoli, red onion, fresh spinach, various sliced peppers and Ro-tel queso sauce. I swear this meal weighed 7 lbs. without the tray. The table tilted when the server sat it down in front of me. I know things are bigger in Texas, but this is ridiculous. I recently stopped by McAlisters, and I have to say, it’s one of those places that just feels good from the moment you walk in. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming — nothing fancy, just good ol comfort food served with a smile.

The sandwiches are fantastic. I tried the king club with ultimate nachos and it was loaded with fresh ingredients, fresh bread, and just the right amount of everything. It was packed with flavor and super fresh. You can tell they take pride in using quality ingredients, which makes all the difference.

What really stood out, though, was the friendly service. The staff were super chill, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. They didn’t rush us or make us feel like just another order — they took the time to chat and make sure we were happy with our food.

All in all, if you’re looking for a laid-back spot with solid, tasty sandwiches and good vibes, McAlisters is definitely worth a visit. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. Thanks for a great visit, Felisha...

Came for lunch signed up on the app and got a free sweet tea of course after I purchased a tea to go with my lunch I got the two for two with the broccoli cheddar soup and the spicy Italian sandwich. Everything was fresh hot and absolutely delicious. The soup was piping hot with lots and lots of flavor. My sandwich was also nice and hot with even more flavor. I loved all the fresh peppers and lettuce. I did take the tomato out the sweet tea. You can’t go wrong probably why I had to get two of them. The service was great. Anna helped me and she was very, very helpful super sweet10 out of 10. Recommend this location. It’s clean. The staff is nice and the food is good. It’s a little pricey for the portion size that you get but they do have the app that you can download and get free tea and other goodies throughout the month.
