Thank you so much Pie Tap for making our Sunday night something to never forget! Where should I start... Had issues with the hostess attitudes and bad customer services at The Oak Lawn location, (my favorite location) so we left before sitting.. Still wanted Pie Tap so we decided to go to Pie Tap Henderson ( worst mistake ever, this Pie tap is awful) Walked in, not one worker greeted us. But they were all looking at us though. Should of left then, but thought it'll be worth it in the end (not at all) 5 mins to get set, 15 more mins for service Every wine I'd requested was out, like 5 wines. Order the old fashioned cocktail. It was literally Whiskey on the rocks. No bitters, no simple/sugar, garnish. Just Whiskey on the rocks. Asked if an Manhattan can be made instead, it was the ordered old fashioned poured into a martini glass. The fact that the bartender didn't think we could tell the difference is so disrespectful. It was seeming kind of personal. So many other bad things happened, and I don't feel like typing them all. At least the server was honest and said that the reason we are getting treated poorly is because we came an hour before closing. Sucks that we are paying to be treated like an inconvenience. Not one time did the manager approach and ask how everything is. He knew those drinks where getting sent back. He knew how bad our Pie Tap experience was going, but he didn't care once to make it any better. He was over there laughing with the "bartender". It was kind of insulting, but any who, I paid the bill and tipped her very well.
So this is how Pie tap are doing things now, I see. No cares given, no customer service. My boyfriend and I work all week and only get to spend time on Sundays. Thank you so much Pie Tap for ruining one of our Sunday's together. It was definitely a night to remember. The funny part is, he wanted to try something else. But I insisted on Pie Tap. I looked like a darn fool. I love Pie Tap but this put a really bad taste in our mouths and I'm not sure I can ever forget it or come back. It...
Read moreFirst of all, the food is really really good. This review is of the issues we have ordering from the Pie Tap app and how difficult it was to rectify.
We ordered 2 pizza's for delivery on the Pie Tap app. (not on Uber Eats, mind you). Once the order is placed, we get a text from Uber Eats that the order was placed. (OK, they use UE as a partner). The food arrived quickly but one of the pizzas was missing. Who do we call??? We ordered from Pie Tap, there is no phone number listed anywhere for Uber Eats, so it seems we should call the source. We talked with Pie Tap who were very nice but effectively said, "sorry, not our problem. Uber Eats is responsible". My first thought is I ordered through Pie tap so no matter who is responsible, you are the face of my problem.
We say OK and start to call Uber Eats. But there is no number. We find one on the internet and it is "no longer in service". We have to call Pie Tap back and ask them to give us a number. We get hold of someone at Uber who gets all our information and asks questions for 5 minutes before he says, "sorry, not our problem". He tells us Pie Tap has to call them and submit the claim. Why did you take up 5 minutes and ask all these questions if you weren't able to help.
The night was late and we already angry. We had spent an hour trying to get this resolved. the pizza we did have was cold. No one seemed to be able to help. And we were missing for pizza that was already paid for.
I guess we'll try again tomorrow and cross our fingers that someone can help.
Suggestions for Pie Tap:
Clear communication: If you partner with Uber Eats, make it clear who handles issues for orders on your app.
Customer focus: Even if it's a partner's fault, own the problem from the customer's viewpoint. Proactively help them find a solution.
Easy-to-find contact info: Provide numbers for both Pie Tap AND Uber Eats support for app orders.
I'll try Pie Tap again because your food is excellent, but I hope the ordering process and customer...

They were very apologetic and expressed that my experience was not okay and kindly requested me to give Pie Tap another try. I’m grateful and plan to eat there again and update my review after.
Writing this review as I just left.
First, the food is exceptional in its taste, this review is intended to reflect a likely fluke experience.
Just moved to the neighborhood and looked up nearby spots. Came across Pie Tap and saw the amazing reviews and came at 3:50 pm.
The place was virtually empty, just me and three others, during a weekday. Within 6 minutes I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and an aperol. The aperol came within a minute, but the sandwich came nearly 57 minutes later. I asked the server on a couple occasions if he could check on my order. He came back on the first ask and said the printer in the kitchen ran out of paper, so they never received the order. Yet, after asking him about my order he went to the computer screen and spent a couple minutes on it then rushed to the open kitchen….so I’m guessing he forgot. Even after putting it in late, I had to check on it twice more. It wasn’t until a manager finally asked me if I needed anything that I hangrily said “my food”.
For me, the reason I am compelled to write this review is that I sat in Pie Tap for 1.45 hrs, had two drinks, and a very delayed sandwich, and despite the entire staff recognizing they flubbed my order, didn’t even offer a discount. Would I go back, perhaps. But that was ridiculous. I worked in management at a restaurant for several years, and if you want to show your apology for creating bad service, you should comp or discount the check….not just repeatedly apologize for something that was well within your control.
This review is a reflection of my venting after being disregarded as a patron. Pie Tap, I’d advise you talk to your team about...
