the Skellig — Restaurant in Dallas

This place is interesting. Ian, Austin, and Shelby are excellent bartenders who are a lot of fun and are very personable. It's the patrons that can make coming here a headache. Less bouncers outside and more inside, and this place would be great. If you are on a date or in a party of two, it's likely you will be mobbed by men and women walking all over you and not respecting your space or bothering to communicate what their intentions are (only Friday and Saturday). I can't tell you how many times this has happened, and it's never fun. When it is busy, do not bother sitting in the stools or in the small booths on the side, you'll be boxed in. I understand now why bars like Kung Fu Saloon collect the chairs after a certain hour.

This is an amazing place to have a great time with a large group of friends and family. If it's just the two of you, may god have mercy on your soul lol. The food is pretty good and the late night menu is wonderful. Just stand up for yourself and expect others to respect your space because on weekends it can get crazy. Everyone's trying to have a good time...

We were with a large group over Nextdoor and people were trickling or said they were trickling over. We went by. Drank water as we decided what to do and wait for some people who ended up not showing up. So my aunt (did leave a small tip just for the water) and I left and came back 10 minutes later with a large group.

We were both sober. Only had 1-2 drinks at the last place. But the waitress was spiteful and decided to flag us to the bartender when we arrived with the group as they moved. My aunt took it personal and felt like everyone viewed her as a drunkard for it. I blew it off. I was DD anyway I just wanted food and water. She wanted to enjoy her evening without being judged after 1 drink and our adhd back and forth ramblings and got exactly that at this bar. Which for mid food. Isn’t worth it.

There’s better places than this one in walking distance. Save yourself the waiters high school drama and go...

DO NOT EVER GO HERE. i have been to this establishment 3 times and out of the 3 times i have gone here, they have fraudulently charged me $96 dollars the first time and $119 the second time. It is beyond disappointing and ridiculous that this is how they “value” their customers. I came here to enjoy a night with a couple family members in town to continually have to turn off my card because of their lack of security and how they do not value their customers. I shouldn’t be afraid to order a $10 drink because I think over $100 will disappear from my account. Whatever card system they use saves everyone’s card information after speaking with my bank, so BE CAREFUL before they screw you over too and you are out $200 in 2-3 weeks… I spoke to the manager immediately and have not heard back from him in days. I will not return to this establishment and I hope the rest of you take my advice! I am appalled by Skellig and their employees and every moral...
