If you’re looking for a unique and elevated dessert experience in Dallas, look no further than Rise Soufflé. Nestled in a charming corner of the city, this cozy yet modern spot is dedicated to the art of soufflé, offering a range of both sweet and savory options that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. The intimate ambiance, with its soft lighting and chic décor, creates a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for a casual outing or a special treat.
The Soufflé Experience: While everything on the menu at Rise is carefully crafted, the true standout is their Banana Soufflé. A harmonious blend of sweetness and lightness, this soufflé is a must-try. The golden, perfectly risen dome is a thing of beauty, with a delicate, airy texture that melts in your mouth. The banana flavor is rich but not overwhelming, with just the right balance of natural sweetness and depth. A hint of caramelization adds an extra layer of complexity, elevating the dish from a simple dessert to something truly memorable. Served piping hot and with a dollop of whipped cream on the side, it’s the kind of dessert that feels both luxurious and comforting.
Other Highlights: While the Banana Soufflé takes center stage, the menu at Rise offers a variety of other soufflé flavors, each prepared with the same attention to detail. The Lemon Soufflé, with its zesty citrus notes, is a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the banana. For those who prefer savory options, the Cheese Soufflé offers a beautifully fluffy texture with a rich, cheesy filling that’s both indulgent and satisfying.
Service & Atmosphere: Service at Rise is warm and attentive. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations or explain the soufflé-making process, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The setting is cozy, yet sophisticated, with soft music and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to linger and savor every bite.
Conclusion: Rise Soufflé is a true gem in Dallas, offering a dessert experience that’s both whimsical and refined. The Banana Soufflé alone is worth the visit, but the full menu promises something for everyone. Whether you’re a soufflé aficionado or simply looking for a delicious way to end your meal, Rise delivers on all fronts—flavor, presentation,...
Read moreSome friends invited my family to eat at rise and this was our very first visit. We had a reservation and were seated right on time. The ambiance is very romantic and truly gives you a feeling of being in Paris. The staff is extremely nice and very accommodating, even when we accidentally stayed past closing time! Our server (pictured with my mother and grandmother in one of my review photos) was so fantastic! She took great care of us, and even drew a funny photo of a lobster on the back of our receipt!
The food was very good and we were told about the current specials upon being seated. We ordered a variety of different items, including souffles and sandwiches. Each souffle was cooked to perfection and we're incredibly light and fluffy to eat. Although they are light, they are still filling and made a great meal. The French bread and whipped butter that was brought to the table was delicious, and it was easy for us to cut it ourselves using the "rise" bread cutter knife and tray that was on the table. We later purchased one to take home!
The lobster souffle was humongous in size and was very good. I ordered the avocado souffle and it came with a mound of guacamole and shrimp ceviche on top. It was a very unique flavor, and was pretty good. The jambon and gruyere souffle was very tasty, and also the truffle mushroom souffle. The escargot souffle was good, but the escargot was a bit rubbery. Finally, for dessert, we had chocolate souffle, bread pudding souffle, and several other treats to top off the meal. The hot chocolate is delicious, too!
There were a few mix-ups with our order, but our server took care of them before we paid our bill.
There are many cool items for purchase, including the cloth napkin "tea towels", or "torchons". Also, various cookbooks, the bread cutter knife and trays, along with other interesting items.
Overall, this was a wonderful visit! I can't wait to come back for lunch on the patio, as it looks like a real...
Read moreI went here with a group of eight for a birthday lunch. Being gluten-free, I was going to miss out on the main offering of the restaurant, but the salad and soup I had were my favorite in recent memory, and I would gladly go back regularly to get more of the same. Everyone raved about everything they ordered, and no two people ordered the same thing. I got the feeling that everything would be amazing.
The waiter was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive. He kept up with my water, and I must have had at least 6 refills. The waiter said that they can make some of the souffles gluten-free, but I wasn't brave enough to try one.
This restaurant felt authentically French. The furnishings were largely imported, and the kitchen is brick, open, filled with cooks in white caps in front of fire. The story behind the place is neat, and written on the menu. There were lots of decorations to look at, but none were dusty. I appreciate a clean place!
My only issues were: -it was quite loud next to the kitchen where we sat, but it was going to be hard to hear everyone with that many people, anyway. -It was going to take a while with 8 people, but it took a while for the food to come out, then another long time for dessert. We were having a great time, but I had to leave early to make an appointment 1 hour and 45 minutes into the meal. It would have taken at least a full two hours, and we went at 11:30 on a rainy Monday. Good luck finding parking and with the wait on a weekend. -I might just be a clean freak, but the bathroom sinks are in the hallway outside of the bathrooms. The idea of touching that door knob to exit to wash my hand was gross. They also had hard soap attached to a bar next to the sink that you rub. I don't mind bar soap, but I'd prefer to keep that to my own home.
Those are nitpicking. I loved the place and highly recommended if your address looking for a leisurely lunch and don't mind...
