Shake Shack NorthPark Center — Restaurant in Dallas

My first and my last experience was horrible. I didn’t know that I was suppose to type my order into the machine ,so when I approached the counter to give my order the young woman who looked to be about 18 said “ hello” right after the hello her face quickly turned into a scowl. She was like “ are you trying to make an order?” And I was like “ yes” so she directed me to the little machines at the end of the counter. I proceeded to make my order and paid for the order .I noticed that you had to give your cell phone number and when you put your cell phone number in the system they will send you a text to tell you when your order is ready. About five minutes after I sat down I heard my name being shouted across the courtyard, so I got up and went to go pick my order up .By the time I got to the counter my order was just sitting there by itself the lady who had served the order had walked away. I’m glad that all the condiments were already on the counter,otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to receive them. I went to take my order to my table and I proceeded to eat. I noticed the french fries were very brown ,so they were a little overcooked and the burger itself was just OK .The one thing that I noticed when I picked my order up is that there was no liner on the tray and the tray itself was a little wet . Now my burger wasn’t touching the wet part on the tray, but it was very close to it, so I thought that was odd that it didn’t have a liner . I have never been to a fast food restaurant and they just served the food on a bare tray so after I picked over my food, I went back to the counter to get a refill of lemonade. I noticed that was a short man in the front of the restaurant he had a different shirt on than everybody else so I assumed he was the manager . He was middle aged you know ,thinning hair so I say to him “hey do you have liners to go in the trays? “He says ,“ no , we don’t have liners at this location “ and I told him I said ,”well I noticed that my tray was a little wet when I picked my food up “and so he goes on to say that the trays are sanitized by some company ……..So what I started to say was “well you don’t want the food and ithe sanitation solution to touch each other. You know you don’t want it be mixed in with the food ,but before I could get it all out , he cuts me off and says “oh yeah where do you work ?” because I had my badge on and I just said “Henderson “and he said “oh OK “. He then proceeds to walk away . Now in the meanwhile, the young lady that helped me earlier she was standing to my left with a full scowl ,it was no doubt in my mind that this young girl was looking at me with a very mean look, she looked to be about 18 and she had a lot of acne on her face and a lot around her mouth . She started looking at me and I was looking at her. Now back to the manager, I feel like he wasn’t sure how serious he should take my complaint, and that’s why he asked about my badge, and once he realized you know, I was just a little old schoolteacher then he no longer cared about my complaint, and just walked off But he had to verify by asking about my badge to see if I was important enough for him to take the concern seriously and once he realized, I wasn’t with the department of health or or sanitation or anything like that he was like oh whatever and just walked out very rudely he didn’t say “ hey next time you come, will make sure we have liners or I’m sorry about that Did you like your meal? “Nothing he was very rude. I was very disappointed in the service at the Shake shack, and I will never ever in my life go...

Asked for a vanilla and chocolate shake (which is an item on the menu) and they proceeded to charge me for 1 vanilla shake and 1 chocolate shake (which is 2 shakes). They refunded me for the whole amount and said that the shake I wanted was the black and white shake (a different item on the menu). After I pointed out that I did not want the black and white shake but the vanilla and chocolate shake, and that they were two different things on the menu - they insisted I was wrong and that the shake that I wanted was the black and white shake... so instead of ordering something I didn't want I just said nevermind and left. I even offered to show them the difference between the two items and they were not interested in knowing what I had to offer. Pretty bad service if you ask me. I enjoy the food, but if I'm not able to order it why would I bother and settle for...

i am not impressed at all! overpriced. fries were good, burger was just ok, but there was no combo meal option, and their "large drink" is more like a medium at other restaurants.... but what really made me give a low rating is that their card reader wasn't working right and i couldnt see all the options for tip, so i ended up giving a $2.52 tip for something i dont normally tip for. the worker behind the counter didn't know how to cancel the order or delete the tip, and he didn't really act like he wanted to help. i know this is a mall location, but the prices are really inflated....
