I am writing to express how I was treated at Starbucks. I am quite disappointed how I was welcomed. I was greeted as if people were excited to see me. Then when I asked if I could use the restroom I was then asked if I intended to purchase something. Being honest I replied, No I am not looking to buy anything on this visit.
Then I was found no longer being welcomed and told I could not use the restroom unless I intended to purchase something. I was told this was a rule that recently came down from "higher ups". As a human there are basic needs. Using the restroom is one of them. I have experienced this type of discrimination all throughout California and now in Dallas.
I am saddened at how we treat others regardless of race, age, sex, and now "if we intend to purchase" something.
As a local Pastor it is disturbing to see this. I shouldn't have to tell someone who I am, which I chose not to.
It is my desire for people to see the need for Jesus and learn to treat others how you would want to be treated. We have been told these things would happen and to recognize the signs of the times.
Also there is a message to those that don't have love for humanity and a blatant disregard for their basic needs. God created each and every one of us and we are precious in his sight. Unfortunately humanity does not view each other the same way unless "they are somewhere with intent to purchase something". It is my prayer "the higher ups" recognize their need of Jesus because he is soon to come and will be standing before him on the day of judgment who ultimately is the "higher up" that everybody down here will be judged by.
James 5 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord...
Read moreUpon walking in 12/12/18 around 11:15 am, the store was bright and very clean. The barista working the register (I believe her name was Deanna) was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the beverages and ongoing promotions.
I didn't catch the barista working on bars' name, but she was also very friendly and made my drink super quickly at the perfect consistency and temperature.
I would like to recommend the store start offering credit card tips in some fashion. I don't know if this is a store or a corporate call, but I always tip for good service, and felt bad that I wasn't able to do so, since I didn't have any cash on me.
That being said, I thought I'd leave a nice review instead, in hopes that these baristas would be recognized by management for the stellar service they...
Read moreI have been a proud Starbucks coffee connoisseur for years, I used to love all of their seasonal drinks and different flavors. I recently stopped going to them altogether right around COVID due to my coffees starting to taste like they were watered down or diluted. When I was out this morning, I decided to try a different Starbucks and was so excited to have my fave drink, a cinnamon dolce Latte.
When I got my drink, I smelled the cinnamon and the warmth of the beverage was wonderful. Then I took a sip. 🤢.
Not only was it so diluted, it also tasted barely like coffee. It was, in short, a big lead up and beautiful packaging for a gross diluted drink. I wouldn't recommend Starbucks in general anymore, but this one really let me down today and I won't be spending anymore money at...
