I love this place and have come serveral times lodgisticall when you walk in it's a bit confusing because if you walk on the front side and you've never been before there's no host stand and or no one notices you've even come in just a headsup for new comers you may have to walk across the way to be greeted by a host. My favorite sandwich is the egg which I get it every time.
So New Year's Eve I brought a friend to do brunch and ordered my usual & the mimosas flight (that comes with 4 juices and a bottle of champagne). My server was Taylor that day, he had a great upbeat attitude pre-order and after the order was submitted everything went down hill. My mimosa flight came out with the wrong juices I informed him several times and he never brought the correct juice until my meal was finished so about over an hr after i ordered it People drink before they eat so that was dissapointing. He kept blaming the bar, this is a small restaurant how much effort does it take to just go get the juice yourself especially if you know it's been over an hour since it's been ordered that's unacceptable.
But it gets worse my food came, as I mentioned I'm a regular I order the same thing everytime. Me and my partners food was incorrect. Taylor never came and asked did everything look ok, if he did at that point we could've told him items were missing off of our order. My egg which was missing bacon, and cheese and I sat there 20 min waiting for him to ask about if everything looked ok so I could get my sandwich corrected it took 3 other people to get the situation resolved. By the time my food was corrected my partner was done eating and I STILL had not gotten the correct juice I ordered for the mimosas.
I asked Taylor to speak with a manager, as a past server and a current business owner . I felt it was important someone knew about the short comings of my experience as a regular. Taylor said he'd go get him. Taylor never got the manager, so then I asked the managers name he said there were several. He was very dismissive because he knew he'd made several mistakes on our order and he knew he never followed up.
So unfortunately they've lost a loyal customer and I will not be back the service was absolutely terrible. Things happen I get that I was once a waiter and am currently I multibillion dollar business owner but the experience was very tacky and fell short of expectation.
As a server everyone know appetizer/drinks come out 5-15 min and you ask if everything looks good
Entrees are 15-25 min after you submit it, there was absolutely no followup.
Cute restaurant terrible service, if you go...

My hubby surprised me today by taking me here for a Mother's Day brunch. I ordered the whiskey apple French toast and steak bites. Hubby got the lamb chops and waffles, and our boys got the chicken and pancakes.
Our meals took a while to come out, and when they did, the baked goods did not come out hot. The waffles, pancakes, and waffles were hard and difficult to cut. In addition, flavor was lacking.
When the server finally came back to check on us, (one row was missing of my French toast as I let my son's try a bite first and then I took a bite), I let her know that my French toast was really hard and difficult to cut through and eat, which she agreed with me that it wasn't cooked right based upon my demonstration. It was as if they didn't fully dip the toast in the egg batter nor cook it long enough - it was completely dry and hard toast. When the manager came over, I told and showed him my French toast, and he offered a "great discount" for the poorly cooked and inedible French toast. Then asked me if I wanted a box, which i was taken aback as i just complained about it being inedible, did he think I was complaining just to get a discounted meal...I didn't want it. I'm a foodie and know from experience that any great restaurant with great customer service would have offered to remake it correctly, completely remove it from the bill, or provide an alternative. Thankfully, the steak bites were good as that ended up being my Mother's Day meal. 😥
Service was slow, food was way overpriced for the quality provided, ambiance is cute, but layout is awful and offers limited space, especially in the front for people checking in for a table.
On top of all this, they gave graciously gave themselves a 20% gratuity for a table of 4 and this was not communicated in advance. Paying $160 for low quality food and mediocre service for a family of four is ridiculous. I do not recommend this place, and I'm surprised it was so crowded.
We will not be returning and will keep our business at The Brunch District in Colleyville, where we get delicious food, great service, and a lovely ambiance for half the price...
Read moreMockingbird Station Location- Went on a Saturday morning around 11am. This place definitely gives brunch vibes and if you’re a brunch-a-holic like me, go try it out. Service is 5 stars - from the host, to the servers, all the staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Service is always a deal breaker for me but no issues there. Food was good and comes in good sized portions. I ordered the BST omelet and a side of pancakes (I’m a pancake girl), and couldn’t finish. Pancakes are huge and fluffy. My only complaint about the food was that the butter was of the take-out variety, being one of those gold wrapped cold squares you get at a fast food spot. I want my butter on top and melting when the plate hits the table. The omelet was large and tasty and fresh. I did a little praise dance when I saw they offered the quintessential brunch drink -a mimosa flight with your choice of 4 juices. The champagne, Wyclif, paired well with the pomegranate, cranberry, peach, and pineapple juices we selected. They also offered a watermelon juice as well. So why only 3 stars after such a rave review??? Well, management should REALLY be ashamed for charging $2.OO for a teaspoon of salsa (if it was that much). I requested salsa for my omelet and she brought me one of those itty bitty black containers with the clear lid and it wasn’t even full. Secondly, I was not told I would be charged a whole $2.00 for a drop of salsa. I mean, you’re serving cold butter and charging me $2.00 for half a teaspoon of salsa??????? Please see the pics and look at the size of my omelet compared to the size of the salsa I received. And who charges for salsa??? A star was also deducted for the glasses used to pour the juice. You end up spilling the juice or pouring too much until you finally get the hang of how to hold both the juice glass and the champagne flute at the perfect angles. But by that point you’re left with a mess of spilled juice on the table. And who wants to deal with that at brunch right??? Parking is out front and a garage is also available. There are also 2 entrances and a small bar. I will return at a later date to see if my suggestions/concerns have been addressed and because it’s a good place to brunch....
