I do like Taco Cabana but just not this location. I am done with this location , I forgave them a few months ago the first time when I ordered a fajita family meal that was supposed to come with chicken & beef fajitas but only received beef and on top of that no tortillas. I went back to ask what happen to the chicken , one the workers came out from the back and said it was his fault and he gave us double beef because there was no chicken fajitas ready and he didn’t want us to wait . I told him we already waited 40 mins , we thought you were making the food during that time and what about the tortillas . The worker didn’t have an answer , then the manager stepped in and asked ok what exactly was missing , so I told him and he said we will get it right out. The manager was straight to the point with correcting the issue which was a breath of fresh air. The manager apologized and corrected the issue , no excuses just corrected which is all I wanted , so I appreciated that. Ok , now fast forward to yesterday. I ordered 6 bean and cheese tacos , rice , flautas and large chicken quesadilla . The large quesadilla wasn’t my choice , I had asked for a regular size quesadilla but the person who took my order said they only had large so I said that was fine , I will do a large then , no big deal. So I had to wait for my order again , then a guy comes out and asked me did I say 2 or 6 bean and cheese tacos. I replied “ 6” , he said yeah that’s what I thought . I was like ok cool his just making sure . I get my order maybe 15 mins later , so I get my order and get home , to my surprise there is no Large chicken quesadilla that I was told that’s all they had and there is lettuce and peppers in the bean and cheese tacos (I didn’t know bean and cheese tacos came with lettuce and peppers?) . Read moreI will never eat at this location. I ordered my food online for curbside as I have done before at the other location. I pulled into the parking spot, with the curbside sign and telephone number to call into the location. I called inside and they acted as if I did not have an order and then he said oh yeah it will be ready once you come inside. It was before closing time and I did not understand why they did not do as the other location has done for curbside and bring it to the car. I walked inside and there were two gentlemen working. I said hello and no one responded instead the dude was talking about ordering food from Arby's. I got closer to the side counter hoping he would see me even though he turned around and was facing me he never acknowledged me the customer. I finally got his attention and he said "hey wassup." My order, that I ordered at least 20 minutes prior was not ready and he was literally throwing it together. A quesadilla with a side order of Cold Mexican Rice. The short manager dude I'm assuming handed my food and I returned to my car. When I open the box my quesadillas almost hit the floor because he literally threw them in that box without properly assembling the box on all sides. This was poor customer service...
Read moreThis Taco Cabana is my favorite compared to the one on Beltline and Arapaho (if you ever visit you will understand why).
However, Sarah made our experience this time so much more than any of our past experiences at this location. Sarah was smiling (genuinely) and happily talking while yet working and getting customers through the line in a timely manner. She made sure that she completed our order just like we asked and was not rushing to get us out of line. But she was still assisting every customer in a timely manner.
My mother and I had a long day that day and I wanted my mom to enjoy one of her favorite meals from one of her favorite spots the Saturday before Mother's Day. We are vegan (most of the time, except for free days) which makes taking our order more complex, but Sarah never showed any impatience, no frustration...She was so sweet and bubbly all the way. This is who I would want managing my restaurant.
I am not sure what position she has now, but please keep her, she is such a gem! And whoever was working with her that night had her back, they seem to work well as a team.
