Liked it. First time there. The order taking person acted very inconsistently. We noticed that the veteran In and Out people just clearly said exactly what they wanted and didnt get promoted by the cashier like us. Just skipping my story of how it didnt work out-advice: say the burger you want the way you want it. Though they missed my onions I specifically asked for- I went back to counter and got double onions- very good. Choices are onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato- that's it. My wife never got a straight answer if they would put mustard on her burger but they said you could add your own mustard, but who knows where that comes from, probably by the ketchup. They had good fries and great ketchup which you could put in little paper tubs like at Brahms or DQ, Arby's. So that was a plus. Burgers decent size, both of us had heard they were small but were not. Not large either. Definitely made and wrapped well due to the grease I think. Was best greasy burger we had in a while. Well done meat patties were great. Overall very pleased with burgers and fries. Next time we know how to order. Note: their 12 dollar an hour paid cashier doesnt work as hard as most 8 dollar an hour cashiers. It seems it was bad training ot just not caring. Both our burgers were not made to order and answering questions the same way exactly got us 2 completely different burgers. Kinda stuck up like Starbucks- if you are not firm and picky about what you actually want exactly then you get something else. The receipt was right though with no onions listed on mine and double onions on my wifes. We both asked for regular onions and got double or none. As far as we could tell asking for onions got a + onion for my wife and none for me- so get in their face and order it exactly like you want it or you will not get it. Anyway will try that next time after we go back to Whataburger first, but we both liked it. Whataburger seems to screw up on the cooking side(extra veggies if they feel like it), where In and Out screws up on the ordering side. In and out was cozier inside with partitions between tables but whataburger has bigger tables and better equipped ice tea. Dont know why they closed all the Steak and Shakes in north Dallas but that is...
Read moreI think we can all agree that going to In-N-Out is always a pleasant experience. Their staff usually consists of younger men and women who display high energy as they work. The kitchen staff work diligently and quickly. The staff at the register and drive-through window are courteous and kind.
The dining area is kept clean. The floor is frequently swept and if free of trash and debris. The tables are cleared and wiped down after each guest. If for some reason there is a mess, one simply needs to notify staff who are quick to respond to remedy the situation.
The food is always good. Made to order and cooked right in front of you - not pre-cooked and left under a heat lamp for hours on end. Their pitch is simple - burgers, fries, shakes. And it's always fun to order from the "secret menu" (which, if course, can be found online). I have yet to be disappointed by the quality and flavor of their product. They use fresh, high quality beef that actually tastes like beef. The buns are soft, never stale, and delicious. And where else can you watch as an actual potato is skinned, chopped and fried?
Prices are very reasonable. There aren't many burger joints where you get such good quality food for so cheap. A meal for one (burger, fries, drink) for 5 bucks. If you order from the "secret menu" it will add a few cents to the total, but still very reasonable.
My only complaint - and the reason I rated In-N-Out at 4 stars rather than 5 - is that their locations seem to be spread out. To drive to the location nearest my home takes 20 minutes in light traffic. Though it would be nice to have one a little closer, this is a minor inconvenience. The food is definitely worth the trip.
If you enjoy eating real, fresh food for cheap, I enthusiastically...
Read moreOn May the 27th on Monday around 8:30 p.m. I left my home because there is no electricity because of the thunderstorm to go eat out at In-N-Out Burger. At that moment the last thing we ate was the breakfast around 1 or 2:00 p.m. and at that point we went to eat out. Me my two kids and my wife. After we finished eating our french fries and hamburgers we went home and a few hours later my family started vomiting and having diarrhea except me, because I did not eat. Because we did not eat anything from lunch till dinner I suspected, that we have food poisoning. The next day, they still throwing up and it would not stop. So I decided to go to the hospital so I rushed to the ER. After the examinations and the tests they gave us precreption medications to control the diary and the vomiting and advised us to take very light food and drink a lot of water. I was not very happy. I proceeded and I called in and out burgers the second day immediately after we discovered that they were throwing up and having diarrhea. All they said we are sorry . This was ridiculous , because I'm not going to eat back again after my family was poisoned. I advised them that I'm taking my family to the hospital and all that they said we are sorry. After I came back I opened a claim with them and they said oh we will call you back. I am doing this review, because I felt it's my right to warn people to be careful not to eat there, because I don't want them to be poisoned like my family did. Honestly, I do not trust the quality of food or how healthy this place is. It should be closed up immediately, God knows how many people they will poison. I'm taking action against, this company, if they don't react immediately...
