Update 01.21.24:
Summary: Service is terrible, they forget things, and they avoid talking to you or even understanding what you asking them. I would have better service at a dumpster fire than this place. I complained before and got nowhere. Wish I could give a NEGATIVE 5 stars.
I ordered 9 pieced boneless wings with a BBQ sauce, a chicken sandwich, and an extra BBQ and ranch sauce. After getting my food, I checked the bag and only received 1 BBQ sauce. I saw the person who gave me my food talking to another guest two spaces from my passenger side. As he started to walk away from them, I yelled “Hey!” three times, getter louder each time and honked my horn on the last time. The person in the other car saw me do this each time. But the guy kept on walking. I then went inside and there were three gentlemen standing near the counter. One was waiting for their food and the other two looking at the menu. One of them then approached the counter and asked for some help. Of the 6 people standing within view (there were a few others) but one at the end of the line about 10 feet from the counter, just looked around. When he finally acknowledged them, the conversation went like this: The customer asked if they still had the green chili burger. The employee said “What?” so he asked again louder. Again, the employees said “What? The chili cheeseburger”? “No, green chili” “No” then another employee in a coat covering all but the eyes came up the employee and they both said “what?” “Do you have the green chili burger?” “No”, so the two men left. The employee then asked the other employee “What was he asking?”. They then went about their way as I approached the counter. Three people looked me in the eye and ignored me (the first employee, the coated one, and another who walked around the short wall by the front counter) and did not say a word to me. The first employee then came to hand the one customer their food and again ignored me and walked back to his post. Then someone came out of an office I guess (saw a door open and close), and he approached me. He finally acknowledged me and said, “Can I help you?” “Yes, I ordered 2 BBQ and one ranch and paid for an extra BBQ and ranch, but only got one”. Then walked away saying something and grabbed them and handed them to me and said, “Sorry about that” and turned and walked away. The worst part of it all, on the grill receipt, it showed the extra BBQ and ranch first. So, it is not like they could have missed it. I have come to this location throughout the 10 years I have lived in the area and recently the service has been terrible. I have complained online several times and got no response each time, calling the customer line, doing an online request, and nothing. No email, no phone call, nothing. I stopped going there for months at a time hoping the service quality would change. Nope.
Literally what the heck is wrong with this place? What do you think because it makes a profit and is busy, you don’t need to care about how it is run? I hate going there and will avoid not only this location but all of your locations for you lack of care.
Previous comment: Service was VERY SLOW through the drive thru. It was just before midnight when I entered the line and did not get my food until 20 minutes later. The staff was...
Read moreThis was the second time in a few days that we went to this location, Montfort Rd between Belt Line and Arapaho. The first time, we didn't stay. We didn't stay because nobody came to the counter to take our order. And, it wasn't because no one saw us. One of the employees walked by twice looking right at us. I raised my voice a bit and asked, "Is anyone going to take our order?"... No one responded. We turned around and left.
We went to the Whataburger in Plano where Taj and his staff gave us a much better experience. I wrote a glowing review of THAT Whataburger.
Now, back to the Montfort Whataburger. After that aborted visit my daughter called the Whataburger while we were still in the parking lot to report the incident. She spoke to the manager, who was very apologetic and acknowledged that the behavior of the staff was inappropriate, and she would work to rectify the situation.
My family and I believe in second chances. And, we had eaten with no problems MANY times at this Montfort Whataburger. We had no idea what had happened. And, the manager assured us it wouldn't happen again... Wrong... The same lack of interest in taking our order happened again! We were about to bail AGAIN, when a young, female employee stepped up to the counter. But, she couldn't take our order because the register required thumbprint access, so we had to wait AGAIN for the employee who was assigned to that register to unlock the register with his thumbprint. So, we FINALLY placed our order for dine in, and then we waited some more. We waited, and waited, and waited. Several customers came and went while we still waited. Finally, my husband and daughter went to the counter to find out what the holdup was. My husband had to raise his voice to get anyone's attention. The hold up was apparently onion rings that I had ordered with my grilled chicken sandwich combo. Yes, that's right, onion rings, deep fried just like French fries. I wondered if they had to make the batter, slice the onions, and dip them before they fried them. Well, we finally got our food. We quickly ate and left. I've had indigestion for about 3 days following that visit.
Bottom line is, if you go to the Montfort Whataburger between Belt Line and Arapaho, don't be expecting any part of the experience to be fast, not the service, nor the food. This Whataburger has lost 3 loyal customers.
One additional note, their shake machine was broken as well. Two...
Read moreWorst WB ever in my life! You always know it takes longer at this fast food chain but just shy of 30 minutes is uncalled for. I pulled in line, 2 cars in front of me so took a while. Finally placed my order of 2 meals. When the girl repeated it back I noticed she said Whatasize my order. I said I didn't request that and repeated my order. 15 minutes later I got to the window to get my food. I asked the girl was there a problem because I had been in line since 8 pm and it's now 8:20 and people were pulling out of line leaving. She smiled and said no, very sweet girl named Yasmine. Another girl came from behind and said to me "Here's your credit card back when you get your drinks You Can Leave"! Rudest person I have encountered at WB. I think Yasmine said her name was Rae or Kay. I then let Yasmine know what was on my mind and that I bet my burger was wrong. I had asked for no vegetables but add cheese. Sure enough she had to take and get another one. I also educated that onions are a vegetable as my Hamburger had them before I returned it. So with her kind demeanor Yasmine returned to me a cold dry burger. Cheese was not melted and no mustard or catsup on it. Our fries were sorry too, cold and tasted day old. Of course napkins, condiments and receipts have to be requested. Clearly the manager on duty, I'm told his name is Michael, needs to train his employees better. Maybe they can all learn from Chick-fil-A. I was livid by the time I was done, I left there at 8:29 pm. I think I got in line before 8 I just didn't notice the time. I'll be sending this information to a corporate office well. And I hope the girl Rae or Kay ?...
