If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s as unforgettable as it is delicious, look no further than The Landmark Prime Rib! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Scott, the maître d’, set the tone for the evening with his exceptional service and engaging personality. Our waitress, Connie, truly went above and beyond. Her attentive service and genuine enthusiasm made our meal even more enjoyable. She knew the menu inside and out and was able to recommend us with the best choices catered to what we would enjoy. Now, let’s talk about the food. The sous chef deserves a standing ovation for the incredible dishes that graced our table. Each plate was so flavorful from the appetizers all the way to the dessert. The prime rib was cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The Jumbo Prawn Cocktail and Crab Cakes were so yummy. The crab bisque is another must, it was packed with so much flavor. And if you’re dining this month, don’t miss their special: the Fillet Mignon. It was to die for! Other than the cart carved prime rib, this special was a true highlight, with flavors that danced on the palate and left us craving more. In summary, The Landmark Prime Rib is a gem of a restaurant where every aspect, from service to food, is handled with care and expertise. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a night out, this place is sure to impress. Kudos to Scott, Connie, and the entire kitchen staff for making our evening truly exceptional! I will definitely be back!

We were greeted by the best part of the evening: Dovie, the hostess at the Landmark. Dovie was lovely, gave us a great table, and started our drinks service. Anthony was our waiter, and he was less than attentive. He was apparently, maybe, the only waiter working every table. He apologized once and then never came back to attend to us except to present us with the bill at the end of the evening. We decided to go with the prime rib, as the Landmark is known for it. It was very bad. First, the cart that is supposed to be wheeled and you receive table service just doesn't happen. Second, the prime rib is sliced so thin and topped with mashed potatoes. To keep it from drying out, they basically drown it in gravy, which sadly isn't even hot enough to keep the meat warm for more than 2 minutes. It was a sad, soupy, soggy, cold plate in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, my daughter's prime rib had a bone in it and was overwhelmed with rosemary, which neither my husband nor I had on our plate. The creme brulle was grainy and warm, and the sugar topping was thick. We were hoping dessert would save the meal, but it didn't The ONLY good part of the meal was Dovie. She was attentive and tried to make sure we were taken care of even though Anthony did not provide absolute attentive service. We told Dovie we were disappointed and had a small reduction in the bill, which was thoughtful.

Visited on National Prime Rib Day, hoping to fill the hole left by the closing of Lawrys. We were impressed that they were actually aware of the holiday, but had a couple of specials to celebrate. The maitre d and most of the wait staff were exceptionally professional. Our server was an odd exception. He handled some things quite well, but completely fumbled or left out other duties (think never offered a second beverage, missing from the floor for extended periods, not describing the specials accurately). Each ordered the two specials. One was not quite as represented, but decent. The other was so overcooked we had to send it back. Fortunately, our waiter immediately offered to replace it with a standard prime rib. Even though it took far too long to be delivered, that move salvaged the visit. The standard prime rib was quite good (still no Yorkshire pudding). We will be back. We learned to stick to the basics. The Caesar salad was delicious. The "jumbo prawns" had telltale signs of having been frozen too long. Above all, the prices we reasonable for the fare offered. And don't forget to get your parking validated. Oh, and it was little comfort that the waiter assured us that we were not charged for the returned meal.

I wrote an earlier review of The Landmark Prime Rib after experiencing a dinner which was far from exemplary. When I heard from the manager, I learned there had been some major issues with the server on the night we dined. The manager was extremely apologetic and kindly offered to host us for another dinner at The Landmark, which we accepted.

So tonight we enjoyed a most wonderful meal with service beyond expectations. Beginning with soft, flavorful jalapeno bread, followed by appetizers of crabcakes and beef tenderloin crostinis, onto scrumptious prime rib prepared perfectly medium rare, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, pan seared Chilean sea bass and creamed spinach, there was little room left for dessert, although the dessert menu was difficult to turn down. We also had two perfectly prepared cocktails and a nice Willamette Valley Pinot Noir with the entrees.

Our hosts couldn't have been more pleasant and concerned that we had a very different experience, one fitting of the beautiful, serene space that is The Landmark Prime Rib. It is with pleasure I highly recommend dining at this lovely space, perfect for a special experience or simply needing to relax in a quiet spot in the heart of Dallas.

James Alexander and Scott are the best hosts. I will give a nod to Justin, our server, who went above and beyond accommodating us. Will definitely request Justin on my next visit. Thank you again for a wonderful...
