Been here a few times and just not impressed. They have a huge beer selection, but for me it's usually a bunch of random beers just thrown together. I guess it's variety, but usually when I go to a tap House there is always some of the "go to" beers if you don't see anything you like. 3 stars for the beer selection, but the food was terrible. We just had appetizers, my wife had the "homemade pretzel". Maybe homemade 3 weeks ago, then thawed out and re heated. All four of us each tried a piece of the black leather (that's what it tasted like). Paid $5 for a nasty pretzel. We also grabbed soso tator tots.....just nothing special...dont think they had any season/salt.....nothing. And the cook lady who brought it out, just kind of tossed everything down on the table and left. Never said anything. The waitress working behind the counter was very nice. It wasn't busy and maybe it was the cooks last day. Not sure.....but has kind of been our experience the few times...
Read moreLooked online for great burgers and found West Valley Taphouse on the map. Never been here before, didn't look at the pictures and found myself ordering based off the website menu. We did have a special request and that was to make the burgers double, might have been a mistake cause the burgers were HUGE but it was a very happy accident. The burgers were juicy, had a fresh grilled flavor and the garlic aioli was an amazing addition. Sadly didn't get the onion rings I asked for but I'm guessing the double patty burgers threw them off haha. I'm so used to the squished small patties other restaurants serve but these were thick 6oz patties. Will definitely be back again. I'm currently pregnant so I didn't really look at the drink menu but there seems to be so many choices. Great place, friendly people,...
Read moreStopped in because I heard Sam has the best chili in town. Now to be fair, I haven't had anyone else's but it was good enough that I don't feel like trying. My only criticism would be that I wish it came with a piece of bread to soak up some of the deliciousness. I mentioned that to Sam and sadly, the Bread Board out in Falls City just hasn't opened back up yet thanks to Covid.
But, what put this over the top was the fact that they have plenty of non-alcoholic options for those like myself that need to get back to work. I grabbed some of the Honeydew Kombucha- first tap house I've visited that has that and it hit the spot and quenched the heat from his spicy chili. Go show Sam at West Valley Taphouse some love and support...
