I love the new seats and the spacing between them. Leg room and large enough distance that you don't feel so close to your neighbor. Great job! Jeff continue to improve our little theater. Now if only he would update the kitchen so he could actually grill burgers and fry mozzarella sticks. It's a shame that the most important commodity for a theater is their confessions and the food here is lacking. You can't go wrong with popcorn and their hotdogs are really good. Veggie hotdogs are a good alternative for those who need meatless options. The rest of the menu sounds good, but falls short in it's preparation. The pizza is so so and the burgers are a little chewy. The fries are baked, not fried. Same goes for their onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The latter is always served with the cheese still hard. I took the rest home and fried them. They came out golden and cheese oozing and stretching. They maybe able to get the same results in their air fryer, but they definitely haven't figured out the correct cooking time and temp for it. Enough bashing on the food. Aside from that, I still love this place. The employees are friendly and you can order your seat placement online. I will continue to support my local theater and hope that over time the concessions issue is addressed....
Read moreSO pros were: the price was good, the chairs comfier them I thought they'd be, and the popcorn was the best I've ever had. They brought on the butter!
Cons: the burger was under done and so were the fries. I had to get back in line to pick up my food instead of a separate person giving out food, I had to get their attention and basically wave around my order buzzer. I tried one of the fries and it was completely unsalted (she said it was salted but I assure you it wasn't at all) so instead of getting some packets of salt and being on my way I had to use their salt shaker?? Went and dropped off my food, tried to eat a couple fries but they were extremely mushy. Went back to get ketchup which again no packets. Had to wait in line again just for ketchup. Was ignored several times for someone ordering, and the guy behind me with his order buzzer going off was also ignored.
Lastly the three seats we had gotten didn't have two trays like every other set of three seats did. We really needed another but couldn't switch seats so late. (Tho I didn't ask so maybe that's on me)
If they just get packets I think almost all of my complaints...
Read moreSamuel, I'd like to tell you a few facts about Dallas Fox Theator. Knowing you probably aren't from this world the prices are extremely low compared to many theaters. Though I agree with the fact that there should be more popcorn for the buck. Also, because the Theator keeps its prices low it does have staff issues making it difficult to repair items. If one of your friends got hurt they obviously were not paying attention or were messing around. Another fact is that they do not own breathalyzers and therefor do not ask you to breath into one before entering the Theator. If anybody is drunk they are allowed in, if they however are disrupting they are asked to leave. I, myself love this Theator because it is a cheap form of entertainment and I always leave happy, even if the movie wasn't...
