Papa G's Pizza — Restaurant in Danbury

I came with my kids to the mall to grab some food and do some shopping. Figured I would grab a quick slice and a drink for and another drink for my 5 year daughter who didn’t want pizza. I asked for a cup with lid and straw for the $2.99 Snapple apple juice for my daughter. When I noticed I was charged $1 for a cup; I simply said I didn’t need it that it badly. She would be okay with a straw. The short woman at the register obnoxiously handed a dollar from the drawer (not the $1.06 I was charged) and said ‘I pray for you’. The customer next me even said ‘wow that’s some expensive cup’. Not looking to make a scene in front of my kids, I sat down; ate a sub par slice of pizza and wrote this review. Apparently the employees don’t work as hard I do and $1 is nothing to them as it may be to me with 3 small kids that I could spend on 100 other things they would rather have in the mall. This spot in the mall is a great choice if you’re looking for affordable and tasty options. The pizza slices are thin crust, with just the right balance of sauce and cheese—definitely worth grabbing a slice.

I also tried the penne pasta with chicken parmigiana. The portion was good for the price, but in my opinion, it could use more marinara sauce and seasoning since the flavor felt a bit bland. Still, you really can’t beat the value.

The highlight for me was the fruit salad—fresh, colorful, and mouth-watering with a nice variety of fruits. And again, the price is very reasonable.

Consistently great pizza with a great variety of toppings and styles. Some of the best pizza around Danbury hands down. Really fresh and well made. Not ever over or under cooked. They’ve somehow managed to make it the perfect middle. I highly recommend coming here. They are family friendly, staff members are quick, great presentation, prices are reasonable and the pizzería is always kept clean.
