Just walked in off my ebike. Wanted to explore a possible takeout dinner for the wife and I. It was too cool for that. The patrons were definitely enjoying a diverse menu of food. I mean there were intermittent lulls in table conversations as people savored the flavor of specific entrees bite at a time. The waitstaff had service well handled on a Saturday night. I could tell this by observing them standing invisible in the wings anticipating all potential requests, signpost of a qualified server. Move and interact with your table in a no notice serve left, pickup right, add value and comfort with anticipation of guests requests led by educating them on complimentary flavors, specials and referral selling. I did see all of this while only browsing the balanced minute and well developed wine list. I could not do it. After meeting the "hands-on " Mgr or owner who was personally expediting food orders and final check summation. I decided that I had to bring my wife, convelecsing back at our yacht, to enjoy and participate in what the patrons were demonstrating as a relaxing full dining experience. No way, could I explain, the vibe that had warmed in me since the delicious smells of finely prepared food wafted into my nostrils as I dismounted my trusty steed of ebike and strolled by the patio diners, curious, into the heart of this hidden gem, Mundies. Go! Go find this place. You can thank me later. A qualified restaurant review without a bite taken. Just observe the...
Read moreCame to Hollywood Florida for training on a new job and was staying at the Marriott and looked for a place to eat and found really good reviews for this restaurant. I dined on my own as my colleagues decided to stay in for the night at the hotel and when I was sat down next to a lattice wall there were some people on the other side sitting at a table and they put their hand through the whole of the lattice wall and trying to take my keys and then when I receive my salad they took an extended metal fork through the lattice and trying to touch my salad with it. I thought these people were drunk as they were laughing and I asked the server what was wrong with these people and they said “oh those are the owners.” I got frustrated and embarrassed and explained that I was frustrated and I started getting emotional and told the waitress I wanted to leave. I did ask if I could get my food to go so I can get out of there or else I was going to walk out. The person who I believe is the manager was trying to keep me there as I was upset and they gave me my food free of charge and then when I got to the hotel it was just penne al vodka with broccoli and I asked for chicken with it and there was no chicken. Granted they did not charge me for the food but I am just disappointed all around to have such unprofessionalism from a place that has such great reviews...
Read moreI was recommended to Mundi's by friends who said it was delicious. One evening we decided to take them up on the recommendation and we went to Mundi's, looking at the menu I was surprised I didn't see lasagna. I didn't question, I just ordered eggplant parmesan my other favorite Italian meal. It was unlike any other eggplant parmesan I had ever ordered it was served more like a sirloin with delicious browned melted cheese on top. It came with a side of pasta with marinara sauce and from the first bite I was lost it was so delicious, better than I had ever had before. Oh and the meatballs and ricotta...Indescribably Yummm! Upon settling our check, I decided to ask why isn't there a lasagna on your menu? Our server politely said... we make it from scratch and serve it fresh as a special. I waited a week and called up and said I was coming, "Is lasagna on special? They said yes...when I got there I must say it was worth the wait! The portion was amazing and the flavor was divine. I had it for lunch the next day too! This is a family owned restaurant and everyone is so helpful and goes the extra mile to make the experience wonderful. This is definitely one of our go to places...
