I am writing this review as a barista at a chain coffee shop place myself, so I consider my opinion of coffee customer service valid. This Starbucks is located in the airport, and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a coffee place in my life. The line was long, but we waited patiently as mobile ordering was not open yet. When I got up to order, the barista was very rude and aggressive. Her name tag read "Chaleeda", and she was the manager on shift. When I asked her for water cups for myself and my boyfriend, she said she could only give us talls or fill my Stanley. I was very kind to her, and I was only treated with disrespect and eye rolls in return. When I ordered my drinks, (an oatmilk brown sugar espresso and a hot pikes place roast with pumpkin cold foam) she acted annoyed and confused at wanting to add cold foam. My first drink came out within five minutes, but I stood quietly for ten minutes at the end of the counter watching the people who stood in line behind me receive their drinks. My boyfriend kindly asked for my other drink I ordered, which then they made as they must have thrown away the sticker instructing them to make the drink. I was extremely dissatisfied as it is not difficult to be kind and courteous when working in a coffee shop especially. The workers acted annoyed by my existence as well as rude towards any question I asked. I would not recommend getting coffee at this...
Read moreThis has got to be the WORST Starbucks I've been at so far. I couldn't get app to work correctly to order a decaf mocha frappuccino, so had to stand in line. Wait wasn't too bad.
I was not welcomed by girl at register. I gave her my order, then was told they didn't have mocha. Seems strange doesn't it? Changed order to decaf caramel frappuccino and a regular caramel frappuccino. There were several orders ahead of me and app as well. During my wait, they were chatting and joking around and minimally working on orders. When I finally got my order, my decaf didn't look right (see pix). The regular frappuccino was fine. I had to get a food order elsewhere after. When I finally had time to taste decaf, there was NO decaf in it.
I had time to go back to counter and showed another employee a pix of two I ordered and the one in my hand. I showed her receipt for decaf. She said they gave me a cream only. Said she would remake. No apology or extra compensation for their mistake. She took back first drink and gave me new, correct one. Again, no apology.
Whoever is Manager over this group, needs to retrain immediately. They obviously don't understand how to serve customers. Starbucks does have a reputation to uphold. In a central location, such as Ft. Lauderdale Airport, you are very visible...
Read moreI ordered an Iced Matcha lemonade after my flight and headed to pick it up. The staff was very busy but I did not mind waiting for my order. I have worked in a busy coffee shop and know how hectic the environment can get. My name was called but I noticed my drink was in a hot cup. I thought “okay maybe they’re out of iced cups.” But when I felt the cup it was hot. I notified the worker that I had ordered an iced matcha lemonade. She proceeded to roll her eyes, and then turn the cup with the sticker towards me, pointed to it, and then said “it doesn’t say iced. See?” I was taken aback and said “it’s lemonade, I can pull it up on my app.” But before I could even get my sentence out she walked away from me and tossed the drink in the trash. The guest behind me even mentioned how rude she was to me when I was being perfectly pleasant and understanding. It was upsetting. I know mistakes happen but to walk away when a guest is trying to resolve an issue was awful. She then remade the drink while negatively talking about me to her coworkers. When my drink was ready and correct, she just slid it over the counter and said nothing. I politely said “thank you!” Either way and again she rolled her eyes. It wasn’t the best experience, but once my drink was made correctly, it...
