We have been going to Gio's for a few years now. Typically because of our budget, we buy their amazing pizza deal they have a few day of the week. Two large cheese pizzas for $14.97 (tax icl.). The best pizza's in the New England area that I know of right now since Town Pizza in Georgetown went out of business and since Topsfield House changed owners. Typically we don't buy fries when we are eating out because fries don't tend that great anymore at places like this. They are just average and you get a very small amount for your money. So my Son and I made a decision to try the fries tonight because we had just enough money for a small. However when we opened up the bag of fries tonight, the first thing I thought to myself was did we just go to Bishops in Lawrence!? There were so many fries, I looked at my Son and we were both in shock. Then we tried them and both agreed they were excellent. Will be getting them again. Met the owner once, he was a really nice guy as well. I can see that he cares about his customers still by the quality of his food. His baklava. and chocolate chip cookies were very good as well. If I ever run into the owner again, I will tell him he needs to open up a Giovanni's in Maine and that he would make a fortune. Because there are NO good pizza places in Maine that I know of, especially further...
Read moreThe worst restaurant EVER. The customer service is horrible. The woman answering the phone has an attitude worse than any I have ever encountered before. I order a Roast Beef dinner, which comes with fries and a salad. I asked for no tomatoes because there was an allergy and to put some tuna on the salad that comes with the dinner. I also asked for steak fries instead of french fries. The only thing they managed to get right, was the steak fries, which couldn't be eaten because there were tomatoes. They also charged me for an EXTRA tuna salad that we didn't want. When we called, the woman was horribly unpleasant, continuously saying "Well, um" and spoke over me. She did not try to fix that order at all and instead passed the problem along to the person who had taken the order instead of taking responsibility like an adult. Wendy's and Burger King does a better job at fixing an order than she ever could. For the price they charge, I could get much more at Mike's in Beverly. The only pleasant part of the entire experience was the manager, Andrea, who was younger than the woman, and handled it more maturely than her. I would not recommend going here unless you want poor customer service from a...
Read moreI called and ordered food for me and 3 of my coworkers. Ordered food but messed up one of the orders. Called back right away and asked them to change a calzone to a sub. Instead I got yelled at and was basically being told I was being forced to buy the calzone which was more expensive than the cheese steak. He refused and actually yelled at me over the phone. Refused to tell me his name and hung up on me. I told the person I did not want to be rude when I asked to change the order and he blew up. What kind of establishment is this and what kind of people are they...
