Waffle House — Restaurant in Daphne

The 3 waitresses working the morning shift today are rude. Standing there trying to place an order for my child and I am being completely ignored for a few minutes until finally one of them attended to me because the other 2 were acting as if I wasn't there. The second I walked in one of the waitresses was cashing out a customer once he was finished I approached the counter and she went straight to cleaning up as if I wasn't there. Thank God she didn't take my order because I can see racist written all over her. There were 2 girl that walked in shortly after who were not "Caucasian" as well and sat in her section and her face was a look of disgust. I kept staring at this waitress with disbelief as she whispered to her coworker and made faces. Once I received my food from the one who took my order I said have a nice day and no response from her. I definitely will NOT go to this exact location again. I hope you read this too. People are actually paying attention so I advise you to act in a professional manner whether or not you want to be there or not. On that note have...

First off, what good is it to have a phone? Having a machine tell you to place your order online is a waste—especially when no one answers if there’s a problem. I placed an order online for a chicken melt bowl and a waffle, and who in the world was the cook? Why would they think it’s acceptable to serve that to anybody?

The hashbrowns were completely burnt—not crispy, not golden, just black and hard. There was zero care or effort put into the food. I tried calling back to complain and, of course, no one answered. And why would you put that nasty butter that’s been touched by everyone on the inside with my waffle instead of in the bag?

Honestly, this experience doesn’t even deserve the one star it forced me to give. If you’re not going to answer the phone, or at least make food with basic quality, take the phone and the online ordering system down. Completely...

People ordered food after us ,they ate and left and we still did'nt get our food. The staff was busy talking, stated that the fry cook was leaving and that the waitress was having to cook. We saw our food just sitting over by the grill, half way finished, had to tell them we wanted our food. Our waffle was cold would'nt even melt the chocolate chips, my food was no where to be found. Was told at that time, 30 minutes after we ordered, and had to ask for our food that there was not anymore gravy for a biscuit and gravy that I had ordered. Waitress/ stand in fry cook was complaining to patrons that she lived 30 minutes away was looking for a ride home. Excusses about they're lack of being able to perform their job, but no appoligies.
