Riding the wave of our culinary quest, my cousin and I found ourselves seeking a sweet finale to an otherwise middling lunch. This quest led us to the hidden gem known as Jade Tea House in Davie, a discovery courtesy of my cousin's keen eye for unique spots. Stepping inside, we were embraced by the quaint charm of this unassuming tea shop, a stark contrast to the bustling world outside.
On this particular visit, my cravings leaned towards the indulgent, steering me towards a Taro Oreo milkshake, while my cousin, ever the matcha aficionado, opted for a Matcha Latte. The service was swift, leaving little time for anticipation to build, but the first sip of my milkshake made it clear that no waiting period could have prepared me for the delight that ensued. The Taro Oreo milkshake was an instant hit with my taste buds. Each sip is a perfect blend of taro's subtle sweetness with the crunchy, chocolaty goodness of Oreo. It was, in every sense, a drink I wished was endless.
Sampling my cousin's Matcha Latte, I appreciated its quality and flavor yet found myself invariably drawn back to my own choice, a testament to its irresistible allure. As we engaged in lively conversations and indulged in a bit of people-watching, the cozy ambiance of Jade Tea House proved to be the perfect backdrop for an afternoon well-spent.
Jade Tea House is more than just a tea shop; it's a sanctuary for those in search of exceptional drinks and a peaceful respite from the daily grind. Its hidden charm and the standout quality of its offerings make it a place I'd enthusiastically recommend time and again. Whether you're a tea enthusiast, a milkshake lover, or simply in search of a cozy corner to unwind, Jade Tea House in Davie is a destination that promises and delivers sweet...
Read moreA very snobby gentleman in London once told me that you should never put milk in Jasmine tea. I ordered it anyway. What can I say? I like tea with lots of milk - all types of tea. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about being judged this way ;) now that milk tea is popular. I stopped by Jade Tea House to get exactly that- a Jasmine Milk Tea. I added some crystal bobo to it while I was at it relishing the thought of the gentleman from London frowning. It was very very good! I have not had crystal bobo. They were slightly sweet with more texture than regular bobo. The cafe has a pleasant and welcoming decor and most importantly these days, tables outside where you can drink your tea or coffee or eat some soft serve in relative peace. The couple that was seated outside while I was there, had their dog, and I was mad I didn't think to bring mine. (They were mad too when I got home and told them). I asked the couple what they got because both drinks looked good, and there is always next time. They had gotten a coconut coffee with egg custard and pumpkin (cream) cheese foam that they could not stop raving about. They said the egg custard was like a pudding but not too sweet because of the coffee. I promised myself I would make a second trip to try it. The other drink they got was a Paradise Tea with passion fruit jelly. They liked that one too. And I have to say it was very colorful and refreshing looking. I love Passionfruit, so that is on my list now too. Overall, I was impressed with the variety and endless combinations one could make mixing the foams, jelly's, bobo and different teas and coffees. The customer service was great and the tables both inside and out were cleaned between customers. I watched. Jade Tea House is a must try! I know...
Read moreI visited this establishment on a Saturday at 2 pm, excited to try their famous NY croissant and pastries. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find out that they were completely sold out. While I would have been willing to return later in the day when the next batch was ready, the staff informed me that they were done baking for the day and suggested I come back the following day.
What struck me the most was that this business has a strong social media presence , with numerous South Florida influencers promoting them, yet they seemed unprepared for a Saturday afternoon rush. Closing at 9 pm, one would expect them to have a contingency plan in place to meet demand, especially on a weekend.
While I understand that sell-outs can happen, the lack of preparedness and inability to accommodate customers during peak hours is concerning. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe they are losing potential business. With a bit more planning and flexibility, this establishment could truly live up to its...
