second bad experience here within 2 weeks
went today 3.1.19
was talking w a kid in front of me while we were waiting to order
guess they thought we were together which we weren’t - just being nice and friendly
the guy who was making our sandwiches asked us MULTIPLE times what we wanted
then proceeded to mess up both sandwiches
he asked again what we wanted and again messed them up
this guy WAS NOT paying attention AT ALL
NOT LISTENING. AT ALL.
wish I knew his name but I don’t Hispanic skinny blue/green shirt on didn’t get his name unfortunately
so I suggested he make the sandwiches separately instead of asking us together what we wanted
I even let the young guy go ahead of me because that’s me
HE STILL MESSED UP THE SANDWICHES! BOTH OF THEM!
from the beginning I had to repeat 3x that it was a large italian on white then after the third time asking me what i wanted on it he dumped hot peppers all over it - I DID NOT ASK FOR THAT!
I asked him to dump the toppings and start over
after repeated times messing up I simply said “You’re not listening”
He seemed irritated even though I was being extremely nice and patient with him
I did not raise my voice or say anything except “you’re not listening ” in the QUIETEST VOICE POSSIBLE - BECAUSE I WAS HUNGOVER - so my only goal was to be quiet order a sandwich and get home
I said to the cashier “ listen I’ve been coming here for 30 years and the last two times I’ve been here it’s a a different issue” then “I know this isn’t the greatest job but it really is just listening to the customers and what they want on their sandwich and this guy was not listening to me or the other guy at all messing up both our sandwiches”
The cashier thanked me and said ”we need people like you to tell us what’s really going on”
walking out the door some girl approaches me and starts telling me in a very loud voice embarrassing me in front of everyone: “I saw how you treated these people and that’s just not OK” number one I DID NOT treat “these people“ ANY “WAY” AT ALL
I only told 1 guy making my sandwich repeatedly what I wanted because he kept asking me and he kept messing it up
that is not my fault I did not raise my voice I did not yell I did not cause a scene and when I was speaking to the cashier i was speaking extremely quietly nobody else could possibly hear the conversation between us
so i got yelled at and harassed by one of your customers because the guy making my sandwich screwed up
THAT IS NOT RIGHT
I didn’t do anything wrong
I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING YELLED AT AND EMBARRASSED BECAUSE YOUR WORKER CANT LISTEN TO BASIC SANDWICH INGREDIENTS
I DONT KNOW WHEN IF EVER ILL GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION
I CAN ONLY HOPE A MANAGER READS THIS AND FIXES THE STAFF ISSUES HERE
visit 2 weeks ago...
this is my favorite sandwich in broward and has been for 30 years
as I’ve said in the past...
love the sandwich
hate the attitude
I actually ate here TONIGHT
the shop was SO EMPTY
there were 4 people in line in front of me
I still stood there for 10+ minutes before being acknowledged by the slicer - who made my sandwich
there were 3 other guys working but it seemed like those 3 couldn’t do the work of 1
LAZY ! SLOW ! RUDE !
the slicer told one of the guys “she wants oil & vinegar on the side” 3 TIMES
do you think I got oil & vinegar?
NO!
I asked Tony who was acting as cashier a basic question:
How much are the Zapps chips?
He did not know Couldn’t answer Asked no one for help Didn’t tell me the price
Seriously -
This is one of my slowest experiences I’ve had here
I was there for at least 25 minutes and there was only 7 of us total in the store
it was ridiculous the checkout process took at least 5+ minutes
the cashier Tony was SO SLOW
I said to him:
“please can can I pay? I just wanna go home can I please pay?”
and he was just like “uuummmmmm...ddduuuuuhh”
in SUPER SLOW MOTION
I am so irritated!
why can’t they hire decent people to work here and make sandwiches?
It’s...
Read moreHere is a unfortunate example of how a company can provide terrible customer service and ruin customer relations.
I placed my order for a sub as is on the menu with the only addition being extra cheese and picked it up during my lunch break to take back because I was busy. When I went to eat my sub I relisted that they forgot the cheese, not the extra cheese but the cheese altogether. To me this was a simple mistake that was actually pretty funny since I paid for extra cheese and didn't even get the cheese that was free. So I called the store in hopes that a way to resolve the mistake would be to credit me for a future purchase or refund the sub. This is where the problem began. The offer the manager came up with was to refund the charge for the extra cheese ($.50) or i can come back now to get another sandwich. I expressed that solution does not help because I am back at work and I personally prefer not to have food remade. Also that there is no way for her to refund items that are already a part of the sandwich. The store manager then told me that she is refusing to refund or credit the order and that my only options are refund the cheese only or remake the sub. I would have happily accepted the middle ground of remaking my sub tomorrow or any other day when I have time to come back but that wasn't allowed either. It was at this point I realized that I am the customer and I am the one engaging in conflict resolution. I have zero issues when someone makes a mistake. I am even thankful for the employee who made my sub. My problem comes with how the mistake was handled after it was made. I have been ordering from this store for at least 5 years, and now that I am working in the area again I do a carry out order at least once a week. I have had mistakes made on previous subs that I never even thought to mention. Unfortunately now I will just simply find somewhere else that does a better job of rectifying...
Read moreIt's with a heavy heart that I share my recent experiences at Laspadas, a place that once represented the pinnacle of sub sandwiches for me. Unfortunately, a series of changes have not only diminished the quality of their offerings but have also impacted the overall value for money in a way that's hard to justify.
The most noticeable change is in their portions; the meat, once piled high with generous, thick slices, has been noticeably reduced in both size and amount. This adjustment significantly detracts from the hearty and fulfilling experience I used to look forward to with each visit.
Compounding this issue is the downsizing of their bread loaves. What used to be robust and capable of supporting a lavish filling is now smaller, affecting both the satisfaction of a complete meal and the practicality of eating the sub without it falling apart.
The alterations to their pricing structure add insult to injury. Not only have prices increased, but there's also an added cost for extras that were previously considered standard. These changes, combined with the reduced portion sizes, present a double whammy to value-seeking customers.
To make matters worse, the service, which used to be a beacon of warmth and efficiency, has seen a decline. The once-friendly faces now seem to carry a sense of indifference, significantly impacting the dining experience.
This slew of changes at Laspadas has left me disheartened. What was once a bastion for sub lovers now feels like just another place cutting corners at the expense of quality and customer satisfaction. My hope is that this feedback prompts a return to the values that once made Laspadas a...
