If I could give this place negative stars, I would. It has, if not, the worst, then one of the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. The drive through attendant was rude and hostile. We went there late one night because Burger King was all out of shakes and it was the closest alternative. After waiting in a long line, which lasted about 20-30 minutes, we were greeted, or lack there of, by the drive through employee whom said "go ahead wich yo order." No "hi/hello, welcome to steak and shake" or anything. When my fiancé said "hello" (insinuating that's the way she should greet paying customers; you know the people that indirectly put food on her table... because without customers no fast food restaurant could thrive and employ anyone) she rudely again said "go ahead wich yo order!"- this time FILLED with attitude. We decided to ignore her ignorance and look at the menu to decide which shake we wanted and, literally, 10 seconds later she said, "are you going to order anything?" Apparently we were taking too long for her. My fiancé explained, "we were looking at the menu, It was a little hard to see all of their options and besides THAT we had just waited in line for 20-30 minutes." You'd think she'd be a little more apologetic or sympathetic.... NO.... instead she tells us, "well you gotta order somethin or get outta my drive thru cause you runnin up my time." My fiancé responded with, "I'd appreciate it if you didn't have an attitude" and reminded her we just waited in line for a long amount of time to be helped. She had the audacity to respond, "you ain't seen an attitude yet!"- as if we were HER kids or something! This is when we asked to speak to her manager. We went inside, explained to the manager, whom was very understanding and sorry, what had just occurred. She gave us a number to call and as we were leaving, we run into no other than Sheila, the drive thru girl (that's what I'm calling her because I can't remember her name anymore). She was outside looking for the owner of the shake in her hands. I never saw her face, but just by her lame attitude I knew it was the same person attending the drive thru. My fiancé asked her if she was Sheila and she said "I sure is and don't be runnin up on me like that!" She quickly got very hostile- screaming, cursing and putting up her middle finger all the while we walked back in, with her behind us, to show the manager her behavior. The manager came to get her and took her to the back of the kitchen. I don't see how this place could hire people like her. Does this behavior and attitude about work deserve $15 an hour? Uh...NO! Needless to say this steak and shake lost our...
Read moreIf you like- to wait 10 minutes to be seated, 45 minutes for your food to be served & then an additional 20 minutes for the milkshakes to come out- then this your place. Mind you we ordered the milkshakes with the food and only half of them came out before the food. 45 minutes waiting for the food, the server comes to tell us they are out of mini corndogs. So we had to get chicken for the kids meal. So we called the manager and asked her what's with all the problems? And Aisha the manager says "Oh he should of known we been out of corn dogs since last nite." And she stopped talking, so my husband said "Why did it take 45 minutes for him to tell us there were no corndogs? And why is the food taking so long to come out?" And she already had a pissed off face but now she looked angry and bothered. And she says "I'll take care of the check." And walked away. Literally we were all just sitting there, looking at each other with the same shocked face. She was not happy to be there and we were definitely bothering her. Then the food came and it was all prepared incorrectly. People who didn't want pickles got pickles, people who didn't want mustard got mustard, people who wanted plain fries got spicy fries, and etc. you get the picture. So everyone has their meal, yes we were unhappy but there was no way we were to send any of it back. For what? To wait another hour to get our right order? No way. My daughter had order macaroni and cheese, so I asked the server for a spoon and napkins because he never brought any utensils or napkins when he brought us our waters. Some time passes and still waiting. The servers comes to tell us there are no clean utensils, and we say fine can we have a plastic spoon and napkins. Again waiting and waiting. My husband finally gets up and goes to the register and asks for a spoon and napkins. Everyone is done eating and our server comes to tell us that the 3 remaining milkshakes will take another 15 minutes to come out. Well we were already just amazed at how crappy this place was, so we were not surprised. The first 4 milkshakes he brought to the table an hour ago were in to-go cups and we thought that was strange. Finally the 3 missing milkshakes come and their in 3 glass cups. So we asked for to-go cups and we poured our milkshakes into them and left. It was a table of 3 kids and 6 adults. Our first time here and Wow this place sucks. Also there was 3 tables that were dirty and the whole time we were there, the tables never...
Read moreSo disgusting. Used to come here all the time but now it has gone downhill. We stood waiting to be seated for ten minutes. Then when we were brought to our table, they were dirty with salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, etc. The bench had gum stuck to it, so we told our waitress and while my husband waited I went to the restroom (which had an overflowing trashcan and an out of order flooded stall). I returned from the restroom and we still stood waiting for another five minutes before she returned to remove the gum. After she cleaned it, the bench remained soaking wet and the tables dirty- at least the gum was gone. The lady sitting at the table behind us told us, "Good luck with your waitress. We've been waiting to put in our order for twenty minutes." So it wasn't just us... The sun was shining directly into my eyes so we closed the roll down blind, which was stained all over with who knows what. Our server too our order and she was polite, we asked for our shakes before our meal and we got them on time, which is unusual but appreciated. Our waters had flakes of some unknown brown and orange stuff floating around. The table beside us stayed dirty with plates from people long before from the time we came in until we left. The salt shaker was covered in rust, which was not an addition I wanted to add to my French fries. My Frisco melt had bright green stuff (?) on the bread in several places and luckily I checked the inside of the sandwich bc it was on the patty too! Ew. I was so ready to be out of there that I just ripped off about 1/5 of my sandwich. When we paid at the register, it was the manager who rang us up. I told him some of the complaints we had and he mumbled "sorry" and just wanted on to the next paying customer. Can't believe we spent $15, only thing deserved was the tip to our waitress.
Our waitress was polite, food came fairly quick once we ordered, and their free WiFi worked. That's the only reason they...
