3rd & U Cafe — Restaurant in Davis

Second time coming here. First time was great! We got our food in a timely manner and everything was delicious. However, today was the worst restaurant service I've ever been treated to. We went for brunch around 10:45am and ordered our food. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I went to the cashier and asked how much longer the wait would be for our food, she was very rude and told me she "just runs the cashier" and I shouldn't bother her with that. I asked one of the runners who told us that it would be about 10 more minutes for our food. We waited another 15 minutes, a total of 1 hour, for our food, still no sign. I went up to the cashier for my money back and they were not ready to give me my full amount. So overall, I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for my food and then was not refunded my full amount. I will not be coming back here again. Although the food is good when you actually get it, it is not worth the awful...

They have an extensive menu. And they are open long hours. However please be careful. It is a difficult time for everyone. They have been tapping he water from the other building. We have asked them for close to a year to stop tapping into our water. However they continue to do so. And have not paid anything for the water. Times are difficult but the restaurant should never steal or tap into the other person's line.Especially to avoid people getting sick. Worse thing is they continue to do it and have not paid for the water that they used without permission. We have called the restaurant staff.and owner of the restaurant several times a month for the past year. However they have not taken responsibility for their actions or paid anything for the water they...

Was looking for something different for my Mom's visit. My son suggested 3rd and U. Sure why not? It was excellent! Wasn't feeling a beer so we had ciders! So good! Great burgers! I tried the mushroom swiss and had them add grilled onions. It was so good, burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was soft and did not overwhelm the meat! But strange to say, the chipotle mayo was the star of the show. I got it on a whim and everyone at the table ended up asking for their own. Can't wait to go back, it may be our new go to...
