An incredible place to buy chocolate fudge, truffles, and other things chocolate. The shop owner "Sonny" treats his customers like family. When it's busy, you might meet his wife or other family members/friends helping out. Excellent selection of Christmas themed chocolate.The truffles he designs have an interesting geometric shape, almost like a pyramid, and he provides a card to help identify the type of truffle if you forget after you bring them home. The fudge absolutely melts in your mouth. I buy chocolate there for celebrations and Christmas as stocking stuffers. If you are looking for chocolate to give as gifts now is the time to get over there while the selection is plentiful. He has shipping boxes but you need to ship the product yourself. I can't say enough good things about this...

My kid has summer camp this week and the featured field trip was to the Candy House of Davis. My child was excited to see how the chocolates were made. The store canceled at the last minute- the night before!! A huge disappointment for all 24 kids in the camp, and it ruins the dynamic of the camp as well. I will not give this establishment their business anymore. Whatever their excuse was, they should have made a way to make it work. It's a cute little store a little farther from the UC Davis campus but I think that makes it easier to access. I've gone here twice, and I have not been disappointed. The truffles and fudge are mouthwatering; I have yet to come across any of the flavors I didn't like. The fruit flavored ones are perfectly balanced (personal favorite: raspberry). The service has been kind and courteous during both visits. I wish more of my friends...
