We came into the bar area and there were 3 small children sitting at the bar. Isn't that illegal? So we find two seats at the end of the bar. It wasn't very busy but we waited quite a long time to be acknowledged. When some older guy finally asked us what we want...I asked for a menu. He told me to get up and walk around to the other side of the bar to look at the TV menu. Who does that? Everyone in the bar seemed irritated and put out to have to do their job. "Oh?! You want plates AND silverware for your pizza? Ugh 🙄" I ordered the bangers and tot pizza that's on the secret menu. Usually pretty awesome, today it was not. The tots were still frozen in the middle. I asked another guy for some ranch and he also acted like he was going out of his way. I hope that the bar staff reads this and understands that the 5% tip I left was generous, and in no way being a cheap skate. At least pretend to like your job, check in on your guests and be attentive if you want a 20% tip. I'm very disappointed in my experience. Ever since Woodstock's moved across the street, their service has gone way down. I'll pay exorbitant price for quality pizza, but expensive with apathy?
I won't be back for a while, that's for sure. To management: you definitely have some training opportunities in the bar. You're losing business...

My favorite pizza joint in Davis! I always order pizza here...
...Or at least, that's how I USED to feel.
Recently, there's been a lack of consistency in the quality of their pizzas. Sometimes they're just as good as ever. Other times they're slabs of half-cooked cheese sprinkled with funny-tasting ingredients and WAY too much white onion. The last pizza I bought fell under the latter category. See, good pizza remains pretty tasty even after a day or so in the fridge. Bad pizza turns into barely edible sludge. I just tried to have a few slices of a pie I ordered from Woodstock's a day ago for lunch and I simply could not finish them - they were awful! And it wasn't that good when it was fresh, either. I'm going to throw the rest of it away (first time I have ever done this!)
I'm not sure what the confounding factor is - the toppings, the cheese, the dough, who prepped the pizza, how they cooked it, a change in the recipe - but something is making every other pizza they make sub-par. Next time I feel like ordering a pizza, I will remember this, and likely go with Original Steve's or even Pizza Guys (their pizza is only okay, but it's...
Read morePhone in an order early on a weekend to order a half and half pizza for the family. Half grateful veg and the other pepperoni and fresh tomatoes. It was an hour wait which sounded incredibly long for a pizza order at 5:00pm on a Sunday, but I wanted to try a local pizza joint.
Once I arrived there was only one cashier at the register. I wait 20+ minutes to pickup and pay for an order I already phoned in. I should have just left 10 minutes into it and went to a chain pizza place to satisfy the kid's pizza craving. I get back home and what do you know, it is missing the fresh tomatoes that they happy charge me extra for. Reached out via their website and I haven't heard back.
As for the pizza taste it was just okay. The sauce was good. Plenty of toppings if they actually put it on. The crust for me is a pass. It seems like the pizza edge was folded in to form the crust. Like an attempt to stuffed crust pizza but with no real stuffing other that the tomato sauce that runs under it. I can see why another reviewer complained about soggy crust. If there too much sauce that runs underneath you going to have a soggy crust.
Overall I only gave it a two star because of the sauce. Otherwise it's not worth the wait and poor service. Hopefully there are better options in...
