Flanagan's Pub — Restaurant in Dayton

Two of my girlfriends and I last night decided we wanted to go out for a girls night and go bar hopping a little bit (responsively of course, we had a DD), and eventually we ended up at Flanagans a little later towards the end of the night. My friend and I that were drinking are both 21. When we went into Flanagans last night it was completely dead with chairs stacked up on tables like they were cleaning. The bar tender there took our IDs and started to question my friends drivers license that was issued in Florida. She had been living in Florida for the past 9 months and had her ID issued when she was 20 so it was still vertical. The bar tender literally started to try to peel the back off of the ID and then continued to argue with us that her state issue drivers license was fake and kicked us out. My suspicions guess that he just didn't feel like serving us since they were so dead anyway. Regardless, he very much was acting like an absolute prick to us and definitely near ruined...

Not sure what happened since the last time our group (about 10 of us) met here in May but the service was pretty poor. 6 of us waited about 30 minutes for drink service. Then had endure the waitress struggling with the handheld ordering device for food and drinks. Pizza and Reuben sandwich were good but felt sorry for those who ordered wings. They were way overcooked and the sorriest wings I've ever seen (flappers small and drums we're only balls of cooked gristle with hardly any meat) not to mention that some were given less than 10 the menu says is a serving. Saddest part of all was that there was only our big group outside and about 5-6 people inside (which was freezing cold) with 3 people behind the bar and 3 wait staff and service was still poor. $2 Natty Lights was the...

Hadn't been there for 15 years when my 3rd cousin Pat of Pat Flanagan's ran it. After he passed under new management and the place was hopping withbs full house on a Sunday afternoon for lunch my dinner partner suggested it and it was a good selection of Irish dishes and IPA from Xenia ohio I tried Boat show which was a nice enjoyable light flavor filled draft. My brother went with the Blue moon. I like new and different he likes the same and reliable any way past relative or not the new management team is over the top in pleasing you. Wish I was there for the Celtic festival 7/30 and 7/31 but we both have other commitments but it was a great place to cool...
