Drive thru beware - on June 8th my son went through the drive through getting a milkshake and fries and never received his credit card back. I check his bank account daily and noticed a bunch of odd charges for Amazon one after the other as I continued to refresh the screen more money continued to come out. So I bring this to my sons attention and he looks in his wallet and notices he never got his card back from the drive thru at Arbys. We immediately call Fairwinds credit union and cancel his card. We then call the police to report the fraud. Today 6/9 I decided to call Arbys to make the manager aware. I ask for the manager and her name, Melissa. I spoke to Melissa but it took sometime to get a word in cause she was talking a mile a minute and repeating herself over and over. I explained I was a mother with a son In medical school who’s bank account just got drained. I also explained I worked 20 plus years in the restaurant industry in management and would want to know this information so that is why I’m calling to make her aware and ask her to keep and eye on the cameras. She continued to tell me the whole story ... AGAIN how no one would of used my sons card and it went right in the safe along with the other person that was behind him that paid by card they “ forgot” their card also. Told me they normally shred cards but she kept it in the time locked Safe just “Incase “ my son called or came back. Asked if I’d like to come get his card with my ID, but seeing as though she talked a mile a minute repeating herself she missed the part where I explained I had called the bank and alerted the police . Again I was calling and my intent was to simply make the “manager “ of Arbys aware to maybe put better practices in place. So a young lady was the order taker took my sons order never came back and the kid that was the fry guy handed my son his food. She insisted she hired and brought most of the staff from the lpga Arbys location and knows everyone well and for years.. well, that’s all fine and well but it is very easy to take a picture of someone’s credit card front and back and use it. She literally did not care to listen to anything I had to say . I never raised my voice just talked to her as a mother to mother as I mentioned asking her to be aware this happened at her store and to keep an eye out. My son went no where else that day and all the charges were done after he left Arbys. We will never visit an Arbys again this was incredibly unprofessional and on another note all the Amazon charges ... the cops will catch you with the IP address on your phone. Hope it was worth...
Read moreVisited this location after driving almost 2 hours for a wedding. We needed a snack before we got ready. Drive thru wasn't moving at all for almost 20 minutes. Not one car moved forward. We backed up and parked. Plenty of people working inside and no wait to place order! We place what we thought was a quick order of 5 sliders. Was charged full price when it was happy hour and should've been $1 each. 15 minutes later, we have our food and I'm able to ask about the price difference with another employee. Girl rolled her eyes to the back of her head, then gave me a delayed response that "Archie" was needed--I'm guessing the manager. Mistakes happen, and I only wanted to see if they'd issue the price difference there and if they couldn't, I'd just dispute the rest. "Archie" spoke rudely to the girl working register in front of us and other customers. Already irritated at the wait time, she hands me $1.50 in cash from the register. .78 x 5 sliders... definitely owed more than $1.50. Not wanting to waste anymore time, we just walked out. This will be settled with the bank, I don't recommend this place. At all. I doubt Arby's would even get back to me after I filed a complaint with them, too.
