Iām really surprised at the lack of customer service I received. I love to shop here, and the only thing I can think of is itās a new manager, Anna.
I was shopping the 50% off redline sale rack and found quite a few red line items as well as quite a few that were on sale but didnāt have the red tag that were on this one rack. Of course, I fall in love with a romper that doesnāt have the red tag on it but is on sale. I go up to the cashier to ask since itās on sale and on that rack, do I get the 50% off of that sale price. The cashier was uncertain and went to find a manager to confirm. Thatās when the manager, Anna, entered the picture. First, she was on her cellphone on a personal call and seemed too busy to be bothered. Second, she never once acknowledged me as a customer or my question. While on her personal call midway in the cashier asking her about the sale and over a dozen items apparently being in the āwrongā sale spot and how I wanted to purchase the romper but wanted to know if she could honor the redline sale, she was dismissive and non customer focused. She proceeded to instruct her staff member to move the items to another rack so it wonāt happen again and walked away as she was saying, ok, love you while ending her personal phone call at WORK. I think her name was Anna. Never once did she even acknowledge me or the fact that I wanted to know if she would honor the sale.
Thereās probably about 7 to 10 items on the 50% off rack that shouldnāt have been there. And to think I was about to purchase a $500 rug. Nope! Bewildered I said to the cashierā¦.Uhhmm so what happened? Will she honor it and she said, Iām so sorryā¦I donāt think so because she never addressed it. Thatās when I left. Iām a customer looking to give WM my business while having a pleasant shopping experience. Iām not there to find apparel pricing mistakes made by employees/mgmt and to be dismissed and ignored. I have many choices on where to shop. Experiencing Anna was enough to not shop...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love World Market and have shopped there for many years in other regions I've resided. So, the merchandise, store layout, quality and unique variety of products is all good -- no complaints whatsoever. However, whenever I visit the Daytona store, it's the same sad experience every time. The store clerks are the least enthusiastic I've encountered. There are two that are consistently unfriendly. They do not appear knowledgeable about store products. Each time I purchase items from the store, I've found it necessary to instruct one particular clerk on which items require tissue paper (a breakable item); that's after asking for the tissue paper because the cashier doesn't seem to know any better. I don't believe the customer should have to ask the clerk to wrap breakable be or fragile items.
While this particular issue is not necessarily a deal-breaker, it becomes irritating and frustrating over time. This is a common sense issue, and one that the consumer should not be required to point out time and time again.
I will continue to shop at the World Market Daytona location, but it would be more pleasant if the store clerks at this location were better trained and showed slightly more enthusiasm than...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEvery employee was so nice. I was shopping for lighting for my master bed room. I hated everything on display, but I saw a box with a picture of a light. I ask to see it. Two male employees carefully brought it down from the shelf. They open it and it's my dream light lol. It's so uniquely me. Also it was on sale so win win. Then one of gentlemen told me I could receive 15% my whole purchase today by texting 95730. Feeling coupon rich I decided I should see what else the store had to offer. Lol I found a bottle of sangria, and beautiful smelling candle. Also a pie crust mix for my daughter who wants to be a pastry chef. I bought my items and female associate help load my light in my car for me. I am big on great customer service. I will be back not only for the prices but for all your helpful staff.Thankyou to everyone who made my visit so...
