Five Guys — Restaurant in Daytona Beach

Oddly 2 hrs after eating there I got very sick.. Vomiting and diarrhea... I felt like hell for the remainder of the night...the physical symptoms lasted approximately 4 to 5 hrs then I a just weak...no fever etc so you tell me! Afterwards it was like nothing ever happened! 0h I won't eat at that 5 guy again! 2 stars for the kind fast service. Wondered why the place was so empty when Chick-fil-A had cars wrapped around the building and a line out the door...FYI I LOVE 5 Guys and have gone to two other locations without any problems after eating the food! While I do absolutely believe I had a touch of food poisoning at this location simply based on the symptoms and that I'm a nurse..

I will say food contamination isn't a rare thing nor does it always suggest malice on the employees or owners part.. Simple improper hand-washing techniques by the staff can cause major health issues! Face it while the sign states employees must wash hands in the bathrooms, studies have shown that more than 60% do not and of the 40% that do 5% don't use soap. Nevertheless I'm confident this was an isolated incident and while I won't likely eat at this location again I will definitely eat at...

Good, slow, fast food. Only once in all my visits have a problem and it was more with the cashier who told me that they couldn't do extra crispy bacon. When all my trips before, placing the same order, has any employee ever said that. I am a creature of habit and order the same thing, same way, every time. This one particular employee wasn't a "people pleaser" and hopefully doesn't work there anymore. And after the $60.00+ order for 3 people (2 young adult men consists of my son and his friend and myself). Cashier refused to take $100.00 Bill for payment saying that she couldn't give change for it. Which would have been $38 and some change. Even the lady behind me said "WHAT!? That's ridiculous". Having a hard time believing that the 10 people sitting in the restaurant who paid before us didn't give them enough cash to give me change. If you have a BIG group of people say football team after the game, unless you have a credit/debit card don't go there. They can't take or give change for $100.00. We stopped in to grab a couple of burgers. I ordered a double cheeseburger. They put some kind of sweet sauce on my burger. I don’t know what it is. I thought it was something with ketchup, but it just tasted terrible. Same thing on my Husband burger I got raw onions, sautéed mushrooms, cheese And pickles it was so sweet. I didn’t wanna eat it with his burger. He got sautéed onions and pickles and ketchup. We ordered one large fry. It was $7.99 for one large fry. they were highly greasy and salty. They took a bath in the salt eight dollars for one french fries insane it was a paper cup. My husband tried to get some peanuts to put in the bag. The man started hollering at him because he grabbed a couple of handfuls, we paid $35 for two hamburgers and one french fry to share now they’re going to monitor the peanuts!
