Note to corporate! His is my 2nd time visiting this store in the last 4 days here in Daytona Beach, FL on international Speedway Blvd. Each experience was drastically disappointing.
1st visit, the male counter person acted as if he didn't want to answer my questions concerning the protien selection. I requested the steak, he replied there is none, asked how long the wait? He replied 5 minutes. I informed him that I will wait. He then turned to the chef where I over heard him complaining about my requst, where he also made a comment to one of his coworkers as well. I had to asked was there a problem with my request. The wait time the turned to 15 minutes for the same 5 minute steak prep time.
Now 4 days later, giving this store a second chance to earn my business as I have been working in the area for the last 3 weeks from out of town. Again, not a pleasant experience at this store. When ordering my "Bowl" the had steak today 😋 I was feel pleased until I was told they were out of lettuce 😲 "What!", also requested hot or mild sauce.. I was told we out of that as well 😯😯 "What, What!" Then asking to speak to a manager to ask why am I paying full price for a meal that I am not receiving a complete bowl with the items I requested. I guess the asst. manager came out I explained the situation, she stated this is above my ability, so she goes in the back to speak with her superior. Came back and told me "if you do want it you can take it or get refunded" Wow! We're is the customer service. I was more than happy and able to pay for my meal, but I would still be paying full price without full completed bowl items.
In addition each time my visits were at least 4 hour before closing and about half the food item in the serving counter was empty. And that's where my 5 min turned to 10 wait time maybe, along with the counter young man's service attitude. I posted live broadcast on FB of this poor experience here along with this and a Google, Yelp and other social media platforms of this email as well.

I’ve hesitated to write a review on them, but after the 7th time of not getting my order correct, I figure I would do it just to hopefully keep someone else from having to experience the same frustrations. This location just struggles to get orders correct for “to go”. The ‘dine in’ experience isn’t much better tho either. Most locations are really good! But I’m assuming management may be different here. When I tried to speak to a “manager” the last time to express my concerns (understanding it’s $30 minimum each time I order from here) I was pretty much dismissed and talked to as if I were lucky to even have the opportunity to get food from them. It was actually quite funny because in this instance, they didn’t even bag the right order (the whole thing was completely wrong). The person said that they’d “see if they can replace the food”. To make sure they knew I wasn’t just “complaining” I had driven my delivered food from my home to the location so I could show them what I had received. But I digress….. Soooooo, with all that being said, if you like to gamble as much as I do, take your shot. And yes, I’ll order from here again and again but only because I really like Chipotle, and have no other options but to deal with this place. But food will be missing, or they will include little extra surprises, like no meat, or extra cheese when you didn’t order any, or a teaspoon of beans (true story, like 8 beans) or someone else’s order all together. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the extremely poor hygiene and cleanliness standards at your Daytona Beach branch located at 2400 W International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
During my visit, I was alarmed by the unacceptable condition of the food preparation and service area. As shown in the attached photo taken during my visit, food was spilled all over the counter, including cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and other toppings. The entire station appeared unsanitary and unmanaged, with no visible effort by the staff to maintain a clean workspace.
Additionally, staff hygiene was subpar. The employees working behind the counter had untidy appearances, and I observed gloves being reused between tasks without proper sanitation, raising serious food safety concerns.
This is not the level of quality or safety I expect from Chipotle, a brand that claims to prioritize "Food With Integrity." The state of this location directly contradicts that promise, and frankly, it made me question the safety of consuming food prepared in such an environment.
I urge your team to immediately investigate this location and take corrective action, including staff retraining and strict enforcement of cleanliness standards. Customers deserve to eat in a safe and clean environment.
