First time there. Amazing place to look at when walking in and very clean and very polite staff. The problem is when I ordered a SIGNATURE SANDWICH ON WHITE INSTEAD OF THE CROISSANT they handed me my box right away. I went to sit in the parking lot to eat this sandwich I heard that was so good and show my husband on video chat how good THERE WAS NO BREAD! I went back inside cutting my hour lunch break short and told the girl behind the counter there was no bread. She said “oh I thought because you didn’t want the croissant you didn’t want any bread.” I said “why would I order a signature sandwich on white with honey mustard and everything that goes on it and not get bread?” It’s a Signature sandwich. I usually give a place 3x before I count them out so okay strike 1. First impression was not so good. So I got back to the car to eat and took a bite it was not white bread either. Not sure what that was but not white. Didn’t have time to fight it again so I ate half of it before I had to get back to work. Despite the incorrect sandwich completely the sandwich was fresh lol. Not mad but just dang! When I go again it won’t be on limited time so I can make sure I get the bread I want or bread in general. PS… the potato salad is amazing and the...
Read moreMy experience is in reference to the store in Daytona only. I never once had a bad experience up in Jax (Mandarin store) where I was a repeat Christmas customer for over 10yrs. Honeybaked off Bill France Blvd was a disappointment for one reason. We bought the $100+ bundle which everyone knows the sides barely feed 4 let alone 6. This store was in such a rush to ring us out they forgot a side. By the time we realized it at 4:15 their location had closed at 4pm. Needless to say our guests had a sample dinner. I contacted the store as soon as they opened on Dec 26 and NEVER received an apology let alone a comp for their mistake. I guess I should be thankful they gave us the side that WE had paid for. All the years I've been a customer this was a slap in the face. Not a very nice store owner or manager to not care about their customers!...
Read moreLong time regular customer. Ordered 1 sandwich, soup and drink on 2/23/22. Presented my HBH sandwich loyalty card (as in the past @ this store without problem) but this time the clerk said "this store no longer takes that card. That's a Palm Coast card." What do you mean “that card”? Effective when? It’s a HBH sandwich loyalty “gold” card (buy 10 get 1 free) and there is nothing on it relative to Palm Coast or any other specific location. Bottom line, you have to spend $71.90 to get 1 free sandwich. That means that little check mark is worth $.67 cents. Way to go team, you just added $.67 cents to your daily sales total!
Not sure if this is about change in policy, employee training or driving revenue and please don’t use Covid as an excuse. You know the old saying penny wise, pound foolish. Lots of other food options...
