KJun Seafood & Bar — Restaurant in Deer Park

I want it to be good, but it looks like K-Jun literally took the ball from NOLA and ran with it without making a single improvement.

The service was slow just after 11:00am and only one server was present.

My chicken ceasar salad didn’t look impressive. The lettuce was wilted looking and the chicken was cut really thin, but it had a rubbery texture to it. Not really a good impression as the second table in for lunch.

The amigo had the catfish and fries lunch special, but the catfish had no flavor, the red beans and rice didn’t as well. The fries had a dash of seasoning, so there is that.

It felt as if we had to pester for refills, too. Unacceptable for $4 a pop drinks and a near $50 tab.

I’d really like for these upstarts to do well, but they have to stop blowing themselves up with fake reviews to get folks in the door, a la Woodhouse BBQ. The consumer won’t care about those after they’ve been...

Dirty front door when walking in. Table we sat at was sticky along with the menu. We got a sampler platter as an appetizer. The outside fried sampler platter was darker then normal and the inside stuffing was cold on several items. While sitting and waiting, there was horse playing among employees and a conversation was overheard because the employee turned the speakerphone on. Very unprofessional. Service was good. New name, same great food & service. Y'all gotta try this place! Go now! My family have been going here since it opened. The staff are so friendly, they treat you like family. The owner Diana is a joy, she has a heart for her customers and Deer Park. We've tried the other Cajun place in Deer Park no comparison to KJun.
