Michaels East Side Pizza — Restaurant in Deerfield Beach

It says they're the same Umbertos from on Long Island, but I don't see how. Different menu, different pizzas, different set-up.. The employees weren't very friendly. I'm not even sure the guy to took my order had a pulse. It broke my heart, I was so thrilled - Umbertos by the Smith Haven Mall was one of my favorite pizza places when I lived on Long Island. There are other pizza places more Umbertos-like than this "Umbertos". That all being said, the pizza was meh, the Godfather sandwich was delicious.

Update: Dear Florida Umberto's, I, like you claim for yourself, am also from New York but have lived in Florida for 12 years. Hence my excitement and eventual disappointment. I don't see how my original review was any more insulting than the experience I had at your place of business and it doesn't come close to the ridiculous response I received from you. I went here on Sunday to get the specials. They told me there is no special on Weekends only on the weekdays on Monday they were closed. I just went there today. I wanted to get the special they have on their website for Tuesdays one slice of pizza and a can of soda I went into the and the same guy that was there and he told me there is no special that was the old owners you just opened up is brand new restaurant on your website and the picture down below that I will post shows it’s your restaurant unless you guys switch owners every other day there is no one in your restaurant. Your pizza was sitting out cold and I still wanted the special and you guys told me no. never again will i go to your establishment ever again don’t go to this pizza place where they don’t honor the deals that are on their website, they’re all a bunch of crooks and thieves and liars and the owner was there. The employees working the phone here are so rude and impatient it is practically impossible to make an order; They don't know what's on the menu, they don't know their prices, and they certainly don't know how to be polite. We had to cancel our order before we could even finish it since whoever was working the phone decided it was unacceptable we didn't already know what was on the menu. He was so obnoxiously aggressive he wouldn't even spare a moment to tell us what ingredients were on certain items and how much it would cost to add mozzarella.
