Thick & Thin Pizza Deerfield Beach — Restaurant in Deerfield Beach

Hello. My wife and I have been awaiting the opening of the Deerfield location of Thick & Thin. We ate there tonight and unfortunately, were very disappointed. While the service and atmosphere were very good, the salad and rolls good, the entrees were not. We both ordered the Veal Parm. Two issues ... the sauce was very acidic ... as a first generation Italian, I know first hand that it's NOT difficult to make a good sauce. Who is making, testing, tasting the sauce there?? Secondly, each of our veal's were grainy and chewy. I did ask the waitstaff to see if the owner would be willing to visit out table. I wanted to provide our feedback in the hopes that it would improve future customer experience. They came back to say he was too busy. Maybe it was a bad night for them ... getting their legs under them in the early days of their opening. We'll likely give them another chance and try different entrees, but we wanted to share...

Went late, about 30 min before close, and actually saw staff through the window having a bit of a fit about it. We asked if we should not come in/go somewhere else, and they said, “no, no, please come in”, so we did. Our waiter (I think he said he was the mgr/owner?) was very nice and attentive and apologized for the initial experience. So we’re back on track, and we ordered the Chicken Parm Dinner with spaghetti to share with salad and garlic rolls. The food was ok, nothing special. Next time we’ll try the pizza. Whoever said in their review that this was the best Italian restaurant around, clearly doesn’t get out much, but to each their own. Wishing...

We were long-time customers of Thick & Thin in Boca until it just became too far for us to drive to. Food & service was always very good.. We were very happy to hear when they opened up in Deerfield, which is very close to us now. We decided to go last night. We only ordered pizza pie. The taste was good. However, something was not up to par with the bottom. Very cardboardy. It is hard to review the whole restaurant & menu just based on this, so we will be going back and ordering dinner food. It was always very good in Boca, which we traveled 10 miles to get to. Since Deerfield is new, we will definitely give it...
