Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Deerfield Beach

Good food, I like the beef tacos more than any real Mexican restaurant in the area.. BUT.. It’s just VERY DISAPPOINTING that you are known for your hot sauces and there is no way for me to pay for hot sauce on ubereats like that’s ludicrous to me. There is no comment section either. I desperately want some hot sauces and would pay for it and it’s not an option. Also, why can I only order mild salsa why is there no spicy? Super disappointing but good otherwise but it absolutely minimizes the amount I order from here. I just placed an order and I’m frustrated about how I couldn’t find anything spicy. I get one small side of hot sauce with my order and it’s barely enough for me to even place an order with you and there were like the 5 worst sauces you carry to choose from I don’t want this sweet and spicy bs. Seriously it’s really really mind blowing that someone made that business decision to not add your prime driver of business to the menu to buy. Like that’s stuff someone should very seriously be fired over. And there is one hot sauce bottle I can buy and it’s sweet?!? I don’t want sweet sauce like what are you thinking? People are willing to pay for it and you don’t put it in the menu. Like you can charge .50 or .75 per side of hot sauce or something like that and list them all. Please do this, please. I visited on June 11, 2022. The service was slower, but okay. The food was fine, but nothing special. The price was out of this world! For (3) tacos it cost more than $18, and that was with a kid's beverage to save $. An extra taco was almost $5! They even wanted to charge me for a teaspoon of salsa, but I think they felt bad for me so it was free. I never imagined it was going to be this pricy. I almost walked out, but I waited long enough and placed a full order so I begrudgingly paid and ate. Sky high prices for mediocre food and get you in get you out type of servicd. In short, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

A manager named Tom called me today when I asked for a call back about the bill. He explained all the mitigating factors that have lead this price point (i.e.: inflation, supply chain, etc.). It was actually very informative. I really felt listened to and hear and he helped me out. I will revisit, but maybe go when there is a select deal, like on a Taco Tuesday. Visited the spot with people who were customers and I must say I was impressed by the food, the service and the fun vibe. I ordered a salad , so abundant with the ingredients, such as chicken and other vegetables and a delicious chipotle dressing. My friends ordered the Havana Steak and the Palomilla Steak, both cooked to perfection and seasoned tastefully with chimichurri ,cooked onions. and sliced limes. The accompaniments were plenty of white rice, black beans and plantains. All tasty as well. Plenty of food for a second plate to take home, especially the salad! All ingredients were fresh! Our waitress Alexis was delightful, prompt and accommodating to all our requests. We chose to sit on the outside, under the fans which were cool enough on a warm night.
