WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! manager is absolutely awful!!!!! an elderly couple was staring and rolling their eyes obnoxiously at my table the whole time we were eating.we were doing nothing wrong! we are teenagers but we’re extremely uncomfortable with how these people were looking at us so someone at my table finally said something. we kindly asked if everything was ok and asked if they needed anything. we addressed them as sir and ma’am and were very mature and kind with how we asked. the woman was making snarky comments telling us how we were being rude because we were just “kids”. the man then told us to shut up and started putting his hands all in our face. the manager then came over and we tried to explain but without any explanation at all, the manager told my table we had to leave. as we were leaving the man said “before you go, let me ask you this” we said “no sir” and as we were leaving the manager came back and threatened to call the police on us. as we were leaving, once again, the woman looks us up and down and says, “you guys obviously aren’t athletes”. to say that to children is highly inappropriate and extraordinarily disrespectful especially with how old this couple was. as we were walking out, the manager goes up to the couple and apologizes to them. the manager had no idea the things this couple was saying but had the audacity to kick us out. they also didn’t give us our money back from the cash we gave for our food. when we left, we called the restaurant to explain exactly what happened to the manager, she continued to say “im not having this argument again” and then proceeded to tell us that we are “never to step foot in the facility again”. after she said that, she hung up the phone mid conversation. the whole experience was so unbelievable and i am in shock. i didn’t catch the name of the manager but she was very disrespectful. i DO NOT suggest eating here and supporting...
Read moreHad several signs posted concerning mask policy which clearly stated that masks MUST be worn in the common areas of the restaurant. A few patrons came in, some as couples, some as small groups of four or so and NOT wearing masks. At no time did I hear or see any employee attempt to enforce the clearly posted policy. Given the current surge of Covid infections, I was surprised at the apparent lack of enforcement. There was a waiting list to be seated so a loss of patronage should not have been an issue. All tables and booths were being utilized, with obvious distancing as well as guards between ALL booths. This aspect of the evening, mask policy, was a bit disappointing. As far as the service, quality of meal and overall atmosphere, VERY relaxed and enjoyable. All staff were wearing masks and attentive to guests. I will definitely return for another evening but probably not anytime soon. I would definitely recommend this establishment if you are not a stickler for the rules and established guidelines of our current social situation. The young people working here are very good at their craft, make you feel welcomed and are attentive to your comfort and enjoyment. I know things have been tough and EVERY dollar counts to stay afloat, I get it. Just don't talk the talk to get me inside. Walk the walk and keep me coming back for more. All of our lives may depend upon that. If you publicly declare your policy, follow through. When I read the menu and ordered, I was served exactly what I asked for and paid exactly what you expected. The same logic applies to the mask policy posting at the front door....
Read moreOverall, the menu is overpriced for the quality of food and drink you are getting.
I was expecting something more impactful in terms of taste or quality of ingredients for their price points. $13 burger and $15 for fish tacos should mean we are getting The Eagle of OTR fried chicken kind of quality. By the way, if this placed served their fried chicken they'd probably charge $30 for it instead of the Eagle's $19 for a whole chicken.
Anyway, the burger tasted frozen, not fresh, and was cooked all the way through -- I asked for medium. I worked at a Beef O'Bradys and it was the same when I was a bartender there. Maybe they were handmade before they arrived and placed in the freezer? The bun also immediately fell apart upon the first bite...why would you not toast the bun a bit? The burger has the brands name attached to it, so you'd think theyd spend more time perfecting their flagship menu item.
Then my wife's fish tacos had zero taste. Yet, it says blackened on the menu...We had to ordered lime, hot sauce, and some seasoning after trying them in effort to give them some flavor.
Also, $6 for a 20oz bluemoon when you can buy a 6 pack = 72oz at the nearby walmart for $8 is a bit ridiculous.
$45 for 2 beers, 3 tacos, and a burger feels like I'm dealing with stadium or movie theater level of upcharge pricing.
My wife works nearby and we had hoped this place would be a good one to nightcap with during the week. The atmosphere is well thought out and the bathrooms are nice, but we won't be returning unless they focus on improving the quality to match the price, or reduce the price to match...
