First time ever being there and first time at attempting to try sushi so I was nervous. We sat there for maybe 5 mins before someone (came to find out wasn’t our server) came over and took our drink order, when the server brought out our drinks ( our server) then asked us if we was ready to order so we ordered our appetizer. Then she asked what else we wanted me being new to the menu and foods I said I still needed a min to figure out what I wanted. At that point she seemed annoyed and walks away. She then brings out half of our appetizers and asked if we’re ready I said yes and ordered. Maybe 15 mins has passed since she took our appetizer order and we still only had been given half and our main course was already ordered. So at this point I’m nervous because either A. My appetizer is going to come out with my main meal or B. She didn’t put it in. ( my girlfriend flagged her down to asked about it which we didn’t understand what she said she pointed towards the kitchen so we figured it was coming soon) It was A🤦🏾 I got my appetizer and main course roughly 3 mins apart. The server never came to check on us during our meal she actually seemed to go out her way to avoid coming to our table. And when she finally came to our table we was ready to go. We could have walked out without paying that’s how much it seemed she was avoiding us. Probably won’t be going...

Holly was phenomenal, she was helpful with suggestions & brought the surprise cheese cake. She provided Excellent service. We were attending a Birthday dinner with a family style set up. For appetizers we had avacado fries, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, & crispy crab. All delicious, the cucumber was strong with wasabi enough to clear the sinus...ha! Crispy Crab was crab & cream cheese with some great spicy sauce. I could have ate just those. So yummy! Our rolls we chose Spicy oh my God- spicy shrimp, scallops, & avacado. Simple & tasty. Lucky Lady- this was a table fave. Cream cheese, avacado, crab, & shrimp among other flavors. Rainbow- red snapper was okay, but not as flavorful as the others. Minion- sweet with banana, mango, macadamia nuts & fried shrimp. Very Hawaiianish...like a dessert. The Mexican- looked like a tiny enchiladas with a slice of jalapeno on each piece. There was a kick but not overwhelming hot. Holly brought the birthday girl Fried cheese cake with a chocolate message. Super cute! We completed the meal with mango, green tea, red beans ice cream. Green tea is my fave! The price for everything was reasonable. We will definitely...

TLDR: The yakisoba is made with instant noodles!

I came here during my lunch break near work and was in the mood for yakisoba. So I ordered the yakisoba and when it arrived, I was very disappointed at what I saw. The noodles were not soba noodles, they were the instant noodles similar to cup noodles. There is a big difference between actual soba noodles and instant noodles. How do I know? I grew up eating instant noodles from time to time. The plate had a small helping of the noodles that included cubed chicken, onion, cabbage, and what seemed to be "yakisoba" sauce. Being as hungry as I was, I ate the "yakisoba". The flavor was okay and that's why I'm giving this review two stars. I told the waitress that this wasn't soba noodles and she said that it's "our soba". Their sushi is great though, whenever I order it, which I did not this time. I paid $8.67 for this meal which came with a soup or salad when a package of instant noodles costs less than a dollar. Granted, there was some meat but hardly enough to cost them...

I went of recommendations and reviews for choice, and location. First I noticed an odd not enjoyable smell. They need better descriptions! I hate soy paper and one of the rolls I ordered had it, not in the description. The space ship was greasy and lacked flavor. The rolls are way too big! You should be able to fit a piece comfortably in your mouth. Some of the pieces I had to disassemble to eat. The sashimi was way to thick, made me gag! The yellow tail jalapeño looked off, like the color of the fish isn’t what I’m used to. I should’ve known once I saw all the pictures, this is a place for regular sushi eaters. I don’t recommend this place to anyone who really enjoys sushi. If the waiter in a sushi restaurant asks if you need a fork, you immediately know it a place that novice frequent.

I stopped in here for lunch today and I was very disappointed. The chicken teriyaki had no flavor, in fact everything was bland tasting. The server was less than accommodating and cold and distant. I must note how very dark, homely, drab the interior was. I felt caged in as there was no light coming inside. The walls are painted way to dark for a restaurant, even the ceiling is black. You can smell old dingy carpet smell whole sitting in the booth. There was a younger woman sitting by the exit door but sadly, she said nothing as i exited. I won't go back to volcano and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
