My husband and I were disrespected today while simply ordering pizza. The man at the counter was short and his counter parts were equally, if not more than unprofessional. We initially ordered 3 slices to stay- requesting spinach to be added to 1 white slice. But immediately before the man with a chain tossed them in the oven I told the cashier that I wanted a soup instead. He coldly replied, "It's too late. He already put it in the oven and added spinach." To which I replied, "He JUST put it in. Can you take the 1 without spinach off? I'd like a soup instead. Sorry." Keep in mind, only seconds had passed since the pizza went in, and I requested a change to our order.
Then the matter escalated when the man with the chain and the even bigger attitude, who was coughing and hacking away, looked over towards my husband and called him a, "puto" under his breath. I immediately told the man in Spanish to cancel my entire order, because his coworker just called my husband a "puto!" We were both enraged. The cashier denied having heard it, but then later said that it wasn't HE who had said it. Nevermind who said it, the damage had been done. He voided our order altogether and we left still hot from our exchange. This place is totally unprofessional and the customer service was nonexistent. Our first time will be...
Read moreMy family and I have been going to ciao's my whole entire life and it's nothing like it used to be. It used to be a family restaurant with a family owned vibe and everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. Now every time I go there, which is usually at least twice a week, my husband and I get nothing but attitude from the large Spanish jerk behind the counter and one of the other Spanish men as well. They shouldn't be working in customer service because they don't know the first thing about it! I just picked up a pizza, extra slices and wings and I asked for a side of ranch, side of mild sauce, a cup to put crushed red pepper flakes in and for some Parmesan packets and he tried charging me $4. I understand being charged for the extra ranch and mild sauce, but packets of Parmesan and red pepper flakes literally are always given to customers to put on their pizza. The craziest part is he was completely rude about it and lied in our faces saying they charge for Parmesan packets when we get them all the time for free because our daughter likes it. As much as we order from and spend there you would think we would be treated better. The big Spanish dude has to go because he's not doing this business any favors all he's doing is chasing away loyal...
Read moreOn a Sunday evening, we were a party of 9 (6 kids, 3 adults), arriving just before 7 pm, after a long afternoon at nearby Urban Air. The staff made it clear that we were less than welcome. We could hear mumbling behind the counter as they each looked us over; uncomfortable. They were unpleasant and unhelpful. Also, they insisted that we couldn't buy and drink two 2 liter bottles of soda, but had to buy individual drinks from their refrigerator or from their fountain...six kids!! We ordered* over $100 worth of food, which was good. We had to ask for plates, napkins, cutlery, and three times for a pizza box for leftovers. We ate, bused our own tables, and left by 9 minutes before 8 pm, their closing time. We have always loved Ciao at Prices Corner and at Trolley Square, but our experience at the Christiana site was awful. We will never return to that Ciao restaurant.
*(Ordered: 2 large pizzas with toppings, 2 Greek Salads, 6 Garlick Knots, 1 Chicken Fingers and Fries, 1 Pepperoni Roll, 3 bottled drinks, and 3...
