Stopped in to pick up some donuts but decided to stay for some breakfast. Food was ok. I could see how some would love it and others wouldnât. The donut roll was good on its own but not our thing with the savory egg and meat. Also how the scrambled egg was put onto the roll was very sloppy/crumbly and made it unpleasant to eat. If it was bbq lunch Iâd expect a messy sandwich but not my preference for breakfast. Lastly the potatoes, they were tasty but my goodness were they dang saltyâŚand it takes a lot for me to say that. The donuts were very good. I got the peanut butter cup and my wife got the cinnamon sugar apple. My wifeâs was the better as I felt there was minimal peanut flavor in mine.
Service was a little on the slow side. The place wasnât busy (4-6tables) and it took a good 15-20 minutes for our food to come out. Could have been time of day or a large take out order but it just seemed way too long for the time of day.
Credit card fee: I didnât notice this until a few days after the visit when I looked at my receipt. I canât believe that a place that charges 12-14.99 for a sandwich and 4.55 for a donut also charges a credit card fee. I donât recall this being mentioned on the menu but it could have been. At this price point one expects such a thing to be baked into the pricing.
Overall: we might be back for some donuts if we really get a craving for them otherwise I donât think we will be back...
Read moreWe got a cinnamon sugar donut, brisket omelette, ham and cheese omelette, coffee, bacon, and potatoes. The donut was delicious, but definitely more bread than donut. If youâre craving a traditional donut this isnât it, but if you want a delicious sweet treat this should hit the spot. The omelettes were huge with loads of meat and cheese. Definitely got our moneys worth and brought half home. Again, not a traditional diner omelette like weâre used to around here, but still tasty. Side of bacon was thick cut and tasted good. I think we got 4-5 strips, which doesnât sound like a lot but theyâre quite large. Coffee was coffee. Better than standard diner coffee but nothing to write home about. The real disappointment was the potatoes. They looked amazing and were cooked perfectly⌠but they were so salty we couldnât even eat them. My husband likes salt and it was too much even for him. The server did tell us we could ask for less salt or no salt next time, which we will definitely do if we return. Service was a little slow but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Weâll probably go back to try the BBQ and maybe another of the breakfast options. But this is definitely more of a âonce in a whileâ place as opposed to an âevery...
Read moreOk... The breakfast here is absolutely delicious! Between the four of us we had the pancakes, sausage, breakfast potatoes, bacon and the breakfast burrito. HUGE portions! None of us could finish our food. The service by our server could have been better. She was personable, had a smile on her face the whole time, she checked in on us a few times, she was nice. But it was the lack of attention to detail that got me. My son ordered orangeade and got orange juice, we got our coffee and nothing to stir in the creamer and sugar, we only had utensils for 2 instead of 4, we asked for additional utensils which never came. My husband had to get up to go look for it. When we got our receipt back after paying we noticed there was a $3 upcharge added. We asked her what it was for and she explained it was a charge for paying with a card instead of cash, she proceeded to tell us it was on the bottom of the menu and if we wanted to see it she could show it to us. Ok.. this isn't standard practice in every single business establishment and she knew this was our first time eating here so this could have been explained to us before we ordered. All in all, we would definitely eat here again cause the food is really good! Oh and the donuts...
