I went to this salon last week. It was my second time returning after 2 weeks. The first time I went I showed them a design I wanted done. It was a abstract design with curvy lines on each nail. I was told that this was no problem to do. The person that they gave me did not speak English so it was difficult to communicate that the design I wanted wasn’t being done correctly. The owner came over and translated what I was looking for and the nails didn’t come out exactly like the photo shown, but they were decent. I was told by the owner to just make sure that prior to my next visit I just call and let them know that I wanted a design. Simple and fair enough. So, prior to booking my 2nd appointment, I did call and set an appointment two days out stating that I wanted a design with a man who answered the phone. I was told that was not a problem. I showed up to my 2nd appointment and was not offered any water or beverage this time and I was given the same woman who did my nails the first time. This time I let her know before we began my gel soak off that I wanted a design and I showed her the picture. She said no problem and begins my service. I came in for a pedicure as well this time so she did that as my gel was soaking off. After my pedicure was completed, we returned to her station and the same thing that happened from my first visit happened again. She started painting my nails a solid color when that was not the design I asked for. I wasn’t upset with her because it wasn’t her fault that they booked me with her again. The manager comes over again and I’m switched to a new person. The new lady says she can do the design but doesn’t have the same colors needed for it and would need to mix colors. I said that’s fine as long as it looked similar to the picture shown. Upon her starting I felt rushed, and the design was not turning out how I wanted. I felt terrible and wanted to cry. Management came over once again and told me that I should’ve stated that I wanted a design upon booking. I told them that I did and then they told me I should’ve submitted a picture to them on Facebook or Instagram. I told them that no one told me to do this upon booking and I felt like I was being blamed for all of this. I really do think this is a decent salon but the way they made me feel I really wanted to cry. Even after all of this I paid for my service and tipped. I asked for designs both visits based off of what I saw from pictures they have online. I had no idea I was going to feel bad for asking for a design. Update: Amy the manager acknowledged and apologized for everything. I have been back twice since then and the second time I brought my boyfriend. We enjoyed the service. Thank you for making sure we were...
Read moreSeriously, Natural Nail Studio is the best nail salon in all of Delaware! It’s such a chic and relaxing vibe when you walk in. I love the technician Kim who takes such great care of me and my toes with the jelly cure lemon dream pedi! I have never in my life had my feet soaked in jelly and it feels amazing. But it’s not just that…there’s real lemons, milk, essential oils, flower petals, paraffin wax, hot towels, massages, a heated herbal neck wrap pillow that is divine, hot stones and my color looks perfect. Today I also had a toe that was bothering me and Kim handled it right away. As soon as she addressed the issue, I felt immediate relief!
This is my second time visiting this salon and today I had my first dip manicure with Tammy after my toes were beautified! Tammy did such an excellent job. I mentioned how much I love this salon and she reminded me how they are only natural and a lot of people love it because all of their products have zero fumes, this zero chemical smells! I didn’t make the connection until she shared and Tammy is right. It smells like a dream there rather than overbearing chemicals. They also have great shield guards, color selections along with matching options if you want dip for your hands and or gel or regular polish for your toes.
I’m also interested in using them for some eyebrow shaping and possible tinting since I’m still scared to try micro blading.
As far as appointments, I love all the questions they ask. I see some reviews say some odd things about that. I love how the owner asks if you have polish on (they should know that because it’s going to take time to get it off and more importantly to remove it correctly as to not damage your nails). I love also how they ask if you want a design or something else. It shows really excellent planning and strategic operations on their part where they are not only mindful of their clients but also mindful of their team’s time.
I love their cute beverage station, how clean the salon is including their restroom and their massage chairs are my favorite but their service and their people are why I keep...
Read moreGreat Customer Service ! Went there last week for the first time. Compared to my old nail studio this place is a bit smaller with fewer nail technicians but the wait is less and the ambiance is better. Everything is little newer and nicer. The pedicure chairs have USB ports so your phone does not die on you while you post your pedicure on Facebook. I love that they offer cold soda, water or even wine! The guy who did my pedicure was awesome ... very meticulous and super nice. The regular pedicure itself is more like a spa pedicure at other places with a hot stone massage and tiger balm application included in the $30 price. I got the dip gel manicure. The color came out way darker than the sample. The owner realized I wasn't happy with the color and asked the nail tech to fix it by drill buffering some of the powder off and applying gel on top. The end product wasn't bad But a little thick. They were apologetic about the whole thing and told me to come back if anything happened to the nails. Within 2 days the gel started to peel away from the powder. I went back in 1 week later and the owners did the whole thing over. They took their time and made sure to do a good job so this time it would last. Finished product is in the pictures. Great gel manicure. Again they were very nice, considerate, apologetic and didn't charge me for the fixing.
Overall great new nail studio in a great location. Parking lot is pretty small but so far it has not been an issue. Wait times are not that long. Prices are comparable to the area and with the pedicure you get a little extra. But overall I would recommend this studio for the spa vibe, super nice and friendly owners and staff and good...
