l had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant yesterday afternoon at this place. First of all, I have been there several times as it is close to my house. The food is decent- not fabulous and way overpriced but the location is prime. The sevice and attitude by my server was absoltuley aggressive, condenscending and unacceptable. I was dining with my fried. I had asked for a vodka tonic and when it arrived it certainly was not tonic. I asked another server to ask my server to come to the table. I told the waitress that either the tonic was bad or they had given me club soda. My waiter was told this and basically chastised me loudly from across the room telling me he heard club soda. Very rude and unprofessional and I have been drinking the same thing for 20 years... I know what I ordered. Then my friend asked him..are you sure there is not any back up tonic? He slammed his hand on the table and got in her face and said.. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THERE IS NO TONIC!!!!!!! At this point I said cancel my order and bring me the check. This waiter had the nerve to tell me to relax and enjoy my day and I was just looking for a fight.. really?????? I am sitting outside on a beautiful day with my dog and a friend and my goal was to fight with a rude waiter. I will tell you that I will never go there again even though I can walk there from my house. I have managed restaurants and I go out a lot... I have never had anyone speak to me like that before.. I also have never had a restaurant not have the ability or the foresight to make sure they have tonic for a very comon drink.. a gin and tonic or a vodka tonic.. the very least they should have done would have been to apologize as opposed to being rude and hostile. NEVER...
Read moreThis used to be one my local favorites. Quiet, off the main part of the strip. I have been living in Delray for about 7 yrs. Me and my family have celebrated multiple events including a 70th birthday party here. Much to my dismay my sister in law and niece were there on a Saturday. Both of these women are successful smart women who have been to this restaurant many many times. Upon receiving their check they realized that it was wrong. They were charged too little. Instead of just signing the check and leaving they alerted their waitress that she made a mistake and only charge the 44 dollars instead of the correct amount, 117 dollars. She then took the bills to adjust and managed to lose a credit card. Instead of owning up to what happened she decided to accuse my family of not wanting to pay the bill and when challenged on this her and the bartender called the police!!! We like to say that racism does not exist but one can not help to think how they could have reached this conclusion. Given the establishment can not control the bias of their servers, I would not be writing this review however when the owner got involved who CLEARLY knew these women did very little to change the course of events. I can no longer support this establishment.
La Boheme: you should be ashamed of yourselves. In 2016 you should treat all your patrons fairly and equally regardless of race and I will make it my mission to make sure everyone knows what...
Read moreHorrible management. Went here for a romantic dinner with my wife. Ordered a steak medium rare. It came out raw. The amazing waiter apologized and took it back. It came back out 30 minutes later. After my wife was already finished and it was completely burnt. Well-well done. At this point I just told the waiter to forget it and joked about letting me in the kitchen to show the cooks how to make a steak. He again apologized for the inconvenience. And said he would have the manager come over to take care of it. We waited another 30 minutes, watching the manager walk around and greet every other table. But not ours. Not even a hand shake and apologie for the mishap. I couldn't wait any longer and asked for the bill. Over $100 and I didn't even eat!!!!! I'm not asking for hand outs, but when a restaurant messes up your food over and over to the point that you don't eat, they need to compensate you somehow for your time. Before I left I confronted the manager. He had nothing to say, I told him he had a lot to learn and he looked at me asking me "what could I possibly teach him?". I just laughed. I manage more people day in and day out then that little restaurant can hold in total. But instead of understanding the problem and facing it. He got defensive. Made a huge scene in front of the other guest. Don't worry we will NEVER return and will make sure that everyone we know, never goes as well. Thank god you have the tourist cause you just love to piss...
